An started breeding German Shepherd Dog in the 1970s. He also bred German Pointing Dog, Boxer, Poodle, Maltese, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Bull Dog, and Shetland Sheepdogs. He has judged at a number of shows overseas, including the Philippines, China, the FCI Asian International Dog Show held in Tokyo, Australia and Indonesia. An is licensed as an FCI All-Breed Judge, AKU All-Breed Judge and KKF All-Breed Judge.
