Salvi started his show career in Western India about 28 years back and has been a well-known exhibitor in both conformation and obedience shows. He has been breeding and exhibiting Dobermanns, Whippets, Great German Spitz, Pugs, Dachshund (Std) Smooth, Salukis and Golden Retrievers. He owns Salstar's Kennels which house top quality dogs, which have been winning charms to hold his head high in this field for almost three decades. Salvi is a Post Graduate in Organic Chemistry from Bombay University and has done management courses. He has worked in managerial capacity in Chemical and Metallurgical Industries. He is the Vice President of the recently revived Gujarat Kennel Club in Western India.
