Dr. Payro is president of the Mexican Kennel Club. Born in Mexico City he grew up in a family of sports minded dog fanciers. He became a Medical Veterinarian Doctor at the National University of Mexico, where he has been a teacher since 1974. His success in breeding and showing Afghan Hounds, Great Danes and Dobermans led him to create the first All-Breed Veterinarians Club in Mexico, affiliated to the Mexican Kennel Club (Federacion Canofila Mexicana) F.C.M. Approved to judge all breeds in 1975 by the Mexican Kennel Club (FCM). Since then, he has judged FCI shows all over the world, including Europe, Central and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In 1975 AKC approved Dr. Payro to judge All Breeds, Groups and Best in Show with no restriction on number of shows in a year, all over the U.S. Approved by CKC to judge All Breeds in Canada. An active member of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Kennel Club, belongs to the FCI Standard Committee and has also been a part of the Scientific Committee in the FCI. Has judged major shows in Italy, the World Dog Shows in Argentina, Vienna, Budapest and in his own country, Mexico. He has received several awards in the world arena as a judge and as a veterinarian. The Mexican Medical Veterinarian Association named Dr. Payro "The Veterinarian of the Year" in 1995, and again in 2000.
