Carol lives with her Husband Steve on a rural property approximately 40kms South of Darwin in the N.T. and feels privileged to be in a part of the world that has all the beauty of nature right on her doorstep. Carol is a Secondary Science teacher with a double major in biology and minors in geology, geography, ecology and genetics. Her love of working dogs has stemmed from a lifelong association with a number of working breeds. She has always had a love for animals, in particular dogs, horses and birds. One of her dreams was to own and breed Cattle Dogs when she grew up. Consequently the first dog she owned with her husband was a blue ACD male from a very old kennel in NSW. As her wedding present Carol was given a show puppy, a little blue girl who went on to be the foundation of the very successful Tagetarl Kennels. Many litters and over 60 Champions later Tagetarl is a well known ACD and Stumpy Tail prefix worldwide. Tagetarl dogs have been successful at both specialty and all-breeds shows in many states of Australia. Carol and her husband Steve have been breeding working dogs since 1988. Carol has served on the executive of a number of all-breeds and obedience clubs within the N.T. Carol is also a current Councillor for the N.A.C.A., this is her second time in this position. She commenced her judges training in the early 90s and is a licenced Working Dog and Toy Dog judge. Carol is also an aspirant for the Terrier group. Carol is known as a judge specialising in Australian breeds and would like to go on and gain her All-breeds licence time permitting now that her children have reached adulthood. She has judged in several states of Australia.
