Jacques started in the canine world with English Setters and Smooth Fox Terriers. With these breeds he became involved in hunting, in utility and in breeding on two levels: for beauty and working. He used to breed and show English Setters, Wire and Smooth Fox Terriers, Welsh Terriers, Border Terriers, Miniature Bull Terriers, Beagles and German Shepherds. He has won with his dogs a lot of international and national championships in beauty and working in many countries. He started judging in 1960 at dog shows and working tests. He is now an All-Breeds Judge and can judge almost all utility competitions too. He judges regularly in many countries as well as at the biggest FCI events. He is also a member of the Committee of the French Kennel Club and has several responsibilities in working commissions in France. He is an FCI representative for Dachshunds and Terriers.
