  Rolona

Sylvia has been breeding Staffordshire Bull Terriers under the Rolona prefix since 1976. She has bred the most titled Stafford in the world, the top all time Stafford in Canada and her dogs have made the top ten Terrier list twice this decade. Mrs. Barkey also bred Toy Poodles for ten years and enjoyed the challenge they provided. Sylvia is licenced to judge the Terrier and Toy Groups, and some breeds in the Working and Non-Sporting Groups. She and her husband Dan run an extensive equine service, supplying horses for children's camps and riding establishments. They continue to manage a large commercial cow calf herd and produce their own hay and grains. Fun time includes gardening and cooking, both of which Sylvia enjoys sharing with friends and family. She is active in fighting the breed ban laws that currently plague Ontario and speaks publicly and passionately on the subject.
