Rick has been involved with dogs for most of his life. He commenced with Labradors - under the still renowned GEMCOURT prefix. He has owned, bred or exhibited Cocker Spaniel (American), Pointers, and Setters, in the Gundog Group. About 15 years ago Rick added Dalmatians to his kennels, and they very quickly took over. Over 20 champion Dalmatians have been bred, exhibited, or owned by GEMCOURT KENNELS in this time. Most notably are GRAND CHAMPION Gemcourt Liberty Belle, and her son AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION GEMCOURT Baker Street. He has also had a long association with many Toy Breeds, including Griffon Bruxellois, and Pomeranian. He has also owned Norfolk Terriers, Wire Haired Fox Terriers, and has had association with Cairn Terriers. Rick has had the honour of judging in all states of Australia, and also in New Zealand, India, Philippines, Thailand, Ireland, Hong Kong, England, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, and Malaysia since he attained his ALL BREEDS licence. He has been the Training co-ordinator for Group 7 (Non-Sporting) for the past 3 years - now second in charge to this Group.
