Edgar began exhibiting dogs in the Mediterranean (Malta). After moving to Canada he continued to breed and exhibit Afghan Hounds and standard Longhaired Dachshunds under the "Jagar" prefix. Served as President of the Afghan Hound Club of Canada and The Guelph and District Kennel Club, an all-breed club in Ontario, Canada. Received CKC approval to judge all breeds in 1995 and has judged throughout Canada, the United States, as well as The Royal Show in Queensland, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Ireland and Mexico. He also judged at the World Show in Argentina in 2005. Edgar enjoys travelling and ballroom dancing and is fluent in Finnish and Thai languages.
