Mr Tan Oo Hock is a Malaysian, born in 1954. He is a businessman by profession. He comes from a family of dog lovers and has been involved in dogs since his childhood. He has shown and bred German Shepherd Dogs, Dobermann's, Boxers, Pugs, Dachshunds (Standard Smooth), Rottweiler's, Miniature Pinchers and Poodles (Toy and Miniature). He specializes in German Shepherd Dogs and Pugs and has been involved with these breeds for about 26 years. He was first licensed to judge in 1983 and obtained his All Breeds Licence in 1996. He has judged extensively in numerous countries such as New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, China, Taiwan, South Korea, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan and Singapore. In 1995 he had the great honour of being the first Asian Judge to have adjudicated at the German Specialty Show in Sydney, he was then re-invited to judge German Shepherd Dogs in 2000 at Sydney and 2001 in Brisbane. In addition he has also judged Specialty Shows for Pomeranians, Dobermann's, Boxers, Rottweiler's, Golden Retrievers and Miniature Pinschers. For more than twenty years he has served on various sub committees for the Malaysian Kennel Association including as the President and Vice President. He has also served as a Director in the Asian Kennel Union for many years and was elected as standing Executive Committee Member of the Asian Kennel Union in 2002.
