In the 80's & 90's Maria worked for prominent British kennels of Great Danes and Irish Wolfhounds, and started judging at UK Open shows in 1991. Founder Member of the Kennel Club of Greece and lecturer on canine anatomy, structure & movement, has published extensively in doggy publications worldwide and has translated most of the FCI Breed Standards for the Kennel Club of Greece. Has organised numerous all-breed championship shows and served as Member of the Greek Kennel Club's Judge's Committee and President of Athens Canine Society. Has judged Great Dane Breed Specialties in Finland, Italy & Germany and Best In Group on several occasions, as well as breed specialties for Shar Pei and Newfoundlands. Has bredownedcampaigned 12 Champions in several European countries and has exported Fainomenon Great Danes to Finland and Sweden. She has also owned Champions in Rottweilers, Boxers, Dobermans, Irish Red & White Setters and Greyhounds; other breeds owned were Black Russian Terrier, Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Whippet & Pekingese. Maria is a professional painter & sculptor and a teacher of Fine Arts. She is licensed to judge FCI Group II complete (Pinscher, Schnauzer & Molosser breeds)
