Dogs have always been a part of Jane's life. Growing up on a large farm they had farm dogs and a few pets but Jane always wanted Collies. Her ex-husband wanted a Rhodesian Ridgeback and as soon as they got married they got two show dogs, a Collie (Rough) and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. After a few shows she was well and truly hooked. Jane has been showing and breeding since 1980 and during that time she has held various positions on many Committees, both in Tasmania and since 2003 in Queensland. She was, in the past, also an Obedience Instructor and has been actively involved in Rescue work for the last 20 years. She is currently the Judges Training Coordinator for the Wide Bay Burnett area and was the Training Coordinator for both Groups 4 and 5 in Tasmania. Jane, and her son Robert (who is now part of her Keamaree prefix and also in the Judges Training Scheme) have had considerable success with their dogs both in the All Breeds ring and at Specialty level. They have bred over 45 champions including 3 Grand Champions and have titled another Grand Champion. They now have Belgian Shepherds and an Alaskan Malamute in addition to their special family of Collies. Since commencing her judging career Jane has judged in all States in Australia (except the Northern Territory) and also in New Zealand. She has judged many specialties in all her breeds, which has been very rewarding.
