Ake is licensed as an FCI Group judge. He was first licensed as a judge for Dalmatian, Whippet and some other sighthound breeds in 1995, and since then has extended with more breeds, and groups. His most famous dog is the Whippet "Int. NordFinPortAust Ch SV-91-92 EUW-94 Airescot Waistcoat". He has judged in Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Slovenia and Sweden.
