Richard started showing dogs in 1968 with Miniature Poodles and within four years had bred and exhibited 25 Champions. Has also been successful with English Setters, breeding many BIS winners. In 1972 was approved as All Breeds Professional Handler � the first in Hawaii. Moving to California, he handled a large variety of breeds, favourites being oriental breeds including Chow Chows, Lhasa Apsos and Japanese Chins. With his wife he has bred and shown 75 Lhasa Champions. He has also produced 45 Japanese Chin Champions, including BIS and BISS winners. Richard is qualified to judge a variety of breeds including most of the Non-Sporting and Toy Groups. Richard is a Breed Specialist for English Setter, Japanese Chin, Lhasa Apso, Poodle (Miniature), Poodle (Standard), Poodle (Toy), Pomeranian, and Chow Chow, and has judged in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and, of course, the United States.
