The Butlers commenced these EXHIBITNG & BREEDING under the KAZIA prefix in 1970. Their tally of home-bred German Shorthaired Pointer Champions stands at 76, with 10 Best in Show All Breeds, including 35 individual Best Exhibit in Group winners who amassed over 100 Best in Group wins (all at Championship Shows). Over 30 Kazia GSPs have also gained Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Endurance and Field Titles. They have exported to New Zealand, France, Sweden, USA, Hong Kong, Noumea, Vanuatu, Guam and the Philippines and were the first to import a GSP from USA. They pioneered the importation of frozen GSP semen from USA, and yet again from England. They also enjoyed a long involvement with Hungarian Vizslas, making up some 9 Champions including Royal BOB and Specialty winners. Over the years they have also shown a Whippet to his Title, and owned a German Shepherd, Cavaliers and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Their latest breed is the Papillon with their first dog attaining his Grand Champion Title. Over the years Lynn has served on several Committees of the Royal NSW Canine Council, including Hereditary Diseases, Judiciary, Showground Development & Maintenance, Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog Development and Judges Training and Examinations Committee. Past President of Hornsby Dog Training Club, GSP Society and Papillon Club. Carolyn was foundation Chair of the RNSWCC Ladies Auxiliary. She has also served on both Hereditary Diseases and Showground Development Committees, Past Secretary Hornsby Dog Training Club, GSP Society, NSW State Obedience Titles, Gundog Society of NSW. They both have experience as Show Stewards, and for many years lectured on the GSP, GWP, Vizsla and Brittany and assisted in and served as examiners for the RNSWCC Judges Training Scheme. Both are Accredited Assessors. Lynn's notes on judging the GSP have been acknowledged worldwide as an excellent resource for Judges and breeders alike. Lynn began judging in 1981 with the Gundog Group and achieved ANKC International All Breeds status in 1999. Apart from wide experience throughout all Australian States and New Zealand, he has had the pleasure of judging in Ireland, UK (Gundog Society of Wales and GSP Association Specialty), the Philippines and a GSP Specialty in USA. Carolyn's judging career started in 1985 with Gundogs, becoming an ANKC International All Breeds Judge in 2005. She has judged a great many times in most parts of Australia and New Zealand, as well as Ireland, Wales and the Philippines. Carolyn is also an approved Junior Showmanship Judge, an activity she much enjoys. They have both judged numerous Specialties across the canine spectrum.
