Tabatha was born into dogs she has been handling since she could walk. At 14 Tabatha represented Australia in the International Junior Handlers at Crufts and was placed 3rd in the World. Daykeyne Kennels first breed was Cocker Spaniels with many top winning dogs produced and shown. The next breed to come to Daykeyne in 1991 was Pointers with Grd Ch Willopoint T Hell N Back (Fate). Fate became the first Grand Champion of the Breed with her son Multi BIS Grd Ch Daykeyne Living Legend (Spy) continuing the tradition by being the first of many homebred Multi BIS winning Grand Champion Pointers. Tabatha then turned her sights onto the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel where with Margaret Franze (LeChevalier Cavaliers) co-owned and handled Hamish (Aust Grd Ch & Eng Ch Lorankas Dream Lover at LeCheva! lier) to become the NO:1 DOG ALL BREEDS in 1998. Next to join Daykeyne were the Akitas in 1997 they have gone from strength to strength. Treason (Multi BIS & BISS Grd Ch Redwitch Strike Force (Imp UK)) is the No:1 AKITA OF ALL TIME with over 50 Best in Show wins and is the foundation of our Kennel. From Treasons foundation we have excelled by breeding many Top Winning Akitas which are making a huge impact on the breed. Amongst all of this Tabatha started judging Gundogs at 21 years old she has recently completed her studies to become an ALL BREEDS JUDGE. Tabatha has judged in Australia and New Zealand, including Specialty Shows for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, English Setters, and Pointers. Showing, breeding and judging dogs is her passion!!
