Linda has been showing dogs since 1970 when her Father gave her an English Cocker Spaniel as a gift. For 34 years she bred and exhibited Cockers under the Daykeyne prefix with much success with many Best In Show and Royal best of breed winners in all colours. She also bred Irish Setters until a move to the city forced her to down-size both the kennel and the dogs. When grooming became too much of an issue because of time spent away judging and running her own business, Linda reluctantly decided not to continue with the Cockers either. Cockers will always be her first love and she does keep a close eye on what is happening in the breed both in Australia and overseas. She has had the honour of judging three Cocker Championship shows and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Over the last seven years Linda has been showing and breeding Jack Russell Terriers and Akita's under the Darqhorse Prefix but have decided to put all their energy into the Akita's and have imported two bitches and a dog from the UK, and one dog from NZ. They are very pleased with the way their breeding program is progressing. and are having consistent results with their young dogs. Linda has judged throughout Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, United States, South Africa, Malaysia, India and China.
