Since 1973 Walter has been the owner of Labrador Retrievers with the prefix Bessingen, and has bred several champions. In June 1986, he qualified as a judge for Labrador, and in December 1987 for Golden Retrievers. He can now judge all of the FCI Groups 4, 7 and 8, and some other breeds in FCI Groups 1, 2, 3 and 6. Click here for List ! Walter is also a qualified judge for Field Trials for Retrievers and Obedience Competition. He has held appointments judging in Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, France, Austria, Italy, Poland, Russia, Estonia and Cyprus. Walter is the secretary of the Kempische Kynologen Klub - Turnhout (organiser of a yearly CACIB show in Hoogstraten); a former secretary of the KMSH (kennelclub of Belgium); a former secretary of the section Shows of the Belgian Cynological Clubs and a member of the Judges Commission in Belgium and member of different cynological clubs.
