Julia has judged Sheltie Specialties in Finland, New Zealand and South Australia, and the Working Dog Group in Queensland and NSW. Whilst in Finland in 2006 she also judged Australian Cattle Dogs, Australian Kelpies, Bearded Collies, Border Collies, OES & Welsh Corgi Pembroke and Cardigan. In March 2009 Julia judged the Wellington & Districts Lab Club Championship Show in New Zealand. In conjunction with her mother, they have bredowned 18 Sheltie champions since 1982, including Ch Sunland Snuggle Pot CD AD (ROMA) Best In Show winner at the Australian 1990 Sheltie National and several other Specialty and All-Breeds BIS winners. Julia also breeds and shows Labradors under the Sangate prefix, mentored by her good friend Glenice McClure of Blackboy Labrador Retrievers, of which Julia has helped show and title her dogs since 1988.
