.Mandy has been involved with pedigreed dogs now since 1967. She is English by birth. Whilst still living in England, she was involved with the Tiverton & Districts Canine Society, (Devon) and served as a committee member. Show-wise, her introduction to the showring was by assisting with the handling of three Setter breeds. She owned, exhibited and trialled, German Shepherd Dogs at this time. For some years before leaving England, she had already begun her association with Saluki enthusiasts. Since arriving in Australia in 1975, and to the present time, she has owned, showed and bred Salukis.
She has owned, and showed Borzois, however, she has not owned Borzois since the mid eighties. She bred one litter in the early '80's. Mandy currently maintains her interest in the breed by occasionally show handling a Borzoi for a friend. During the late '70's she owned and exhibited Afghan Hounds, and handled Afghan Hounds for others.
Personal firsts for the Saluki breed include being elected as the Inaugural President of the Saluki Club of WA, in 1977. In 1978, she became one of Australia’s very first qualified Saluki Breeder-Judges by acquiring the Hound Group licence. In 1978, “Aust Ch. Farousi Sea Mist” became Western Australia's very first Best In Show winning Saluki (All Breeds Championship Show). In 1979, she brought in the States’ first recognised overseas Saluki import, from the UK, “Seafleet Nimrod Farousi”. “Farousi Salukis” are now found in many countries around the world.
From 1990-94, Mandy served on the Trainee Judges Panel, a sub-committee of WA State governing body, which undertakes the organising of the breed lectures for each group or breed, along with the subsequent appraisals and examinations for novice judges. Her participation as an assessor and breed lecturer is ongoing. During 1995, she was elected to serve a term of office, as a Deputy on the Board of the Governing Council of WA State Governing Body, The Canine Association of Western Australia. C.A.W.A. as all other Australian State canine governing bodies, is affiliated to the Australian National Kennel Council, which itself in turn, is affiliated with the English Kennel Club, and the F.C.I.
Over time she has qualified here in Australia, to award CC’s to all breeds in Hounds (since 1978), Gundogs (since 1984) and Toys (since 1981). She prides herself on being the first overseas judge to be listed with the Northern Saluki Club (England). She is also on the overseas judges list for the SGHC (England). Her judging schedule, whilst not hectic is consistent. Her judging career now spans some 29 years with the emphasis on Sighthounds, and Salukis in particular. As above - In 1978 Mandy became a ‘Panel Status’ (Championship Show) judge able to award CC’s for the whole of the Hound Group, and since that time she has judged throughout Australia, also judged Salukis and Afghans in England in December 1990. In October 2006, she judged in California, the Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco, Saluki Breed Speciality
Mandy has not undertaken or accepted many judging appointments within Australia over the past 4 years, preferring to concentrate on exhibiting some very promising young homebred Salukis to their titles and having some fun in the ring. She has also recently shown one of her homebred boys to his Australian GRAND CHAMPION title.

Fran's interest in dogs started in 1967 with the purchase of a Dalmatian Bitch. Ch Mornington Marelle. With a love of horses it was only natural that Fran continue this affiliation by adding a Coaching Dog to the menagerie. Marelle was successfully shown to her title winning Challenge Bitch at Adelaide Royal in 1969. Fran was then hooked and has competed in the world of Dog Shows ever since. A liver bitch Ch Checkerboard Debra joined the kennel in 1974 and later produced Ch Paceaway Nutcracker and Niccolite (Both these liver dogs still appear in many pedigrees today).
Löwchens joined the kennel in 1985 after Fran was smitten by the character of these wonderful little lions. Bozo (Ch Coxnco Hi Falutin) and Luvkin (Ch Coxnco Justa Luvkin) produced several champions under the Paceaway prefix. Spots needed to be added so two parti colours from NZ were imported Ch Ardgowan Panache and Ch Ardgowan Cracker Jack. Pandy was the Dam of Ch Paceaway Gremlin who appears in the pedigrees of top Löwchens in NZ, Scandinavia and Europe as well as Australia.
Fran is now an International All Breeds Dog Judge licenced by the Australian National Kennel Council to judge All Groups and Best in Show. MEREDITH, Mr. Stephen

Auckland, NEW ZEALAND Kennel Name: Rojeme

Groups 1,  2, 3, 4, and 5

  Ph: +64-9-294-6124    Email: Click here

Stephen was born in Ebbw Vale in South Wales in 1954 and grew up in the small town nearby called Cwm. After leaving school he trained and worked for British Steel as a Mechanical Engineer. He and his wife (Gay) emigrated to New Zealand in 1978. and this is where they settled. As a child his family owned Greyhounds, Whippets and Jack Russell Terriers. As a teenager he owned and worked a Labrador and a Springer Spaniel. All were working dogs of sort, but mostly pets. Because of this he has a keen interest in working Gundogs, Hounds and Terriers, so when they emigrated to New Zealand they were anxious to pursue this interest.
In 1980 they bought two Labradors and have bred and exhibited this breed since. Over the years they have moved more into the showing of their dogs, but still enjoy and admire their working ability. They have bred and shown many Champions and In Show Winners, and owned and titled the first ever NZ Grand Champion Labrador; Southerly Shadow who sadly passed away three years ago at the ripe old age of 15.
Stephen is involved in the administration of many Dog Clubs in the Auckland area, with his main duty being the current President and Life Member of the Auckland Kennel Council.
While the Labradors have been his main passion for most of the last 27 years, it seems that the Staffordshire Bull Terrier has stolen his heart. They bought their first Stafford bitch in 1992, and are now the proud possessors of seven Staffords, three of which were bred in Australia.
Stephen has also been actively involved in exhibiting English Springer Spaniels, West Highland White Terriers and Pomeranians. He has extensive judging experience within New Zealand and Australia covering all breeds within the Toy, Terrier, Gundog, Hound and Working groups at Championship level. All other groups at Open level.

She has judged in Canada, U.S.A, The Philippines, Indonesia, both Islands of NZ and all states in Australia. Paceaway has produced over 125 Champions and together with the Dalmatians and Löwchen's they have owned or titled several other breeds including Smooth Fox Terrier, English Setter, Saluki, Shetland Sheepdog, Bearded Collie and Boxers. Fran takes a keen interest in the National Judges Training Scheme and is an accredited examiner within the judges training programme. A Foundation member of the Dalmatian Club of South Australia, Fran is currently President of the Dalmatian Association of Queensland and husband Brian is Secretary.
Fran and Brian currently run Kismet a picturesque Kennel and Cattery situated only minutes from the heart of Brisbane. This facility has been the Home for Paceaway since 1985 and has fostered the additions of Himalayan Persians and Tonkinese Cats.
