Denise started showing Poodles in South Australia in 1965. She also owned and exhibited Afghans, a Bedlington Terrier, and Borzoi.
She owned/hunted/bred & exhibited Curly Coated Retrievers in partnership with her late husband Peter Sandow until Peter passed away in 2001.
In 1991 Denise and Canadian Marilyn Kellie (Kelmark Kennels) introduced the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers to Australia and since then has continued involvement in the breed, importing, breeding, exhibiting trialling & lecturing Tollers.
She has prepared and handled (conformation) many breeds including Clumber Spaniels, English Setters, Maltese, Min Pins, Papillon, and Pyrenean.
Denise conducted breed lectures for Curlies in Qld and NSW for 5 years and judging lectures for Tollers in Qld, NSW, Canada, and now Victoria. She has lectured at Coffs Harbour Tafe Animal husbandry-dogs, and was the co-presenter of the Toller Breed Lecture for Southern Alberta, Canada 2003. Also mentored AKC & CKC Trainees at National Specialty 2003 Calgary. She has judged in NSW; VIC; Qld; ACT; Canada and also Sweepstakes (Open Show) at NSDTR National Breed Specialty Calgary 2003. Denise has held various positions on several club committees including Foundation Secretary of the Curly Coated Retriever Association NSW. She was a RNSWCC Board Member 1996-2002.

Tamas is currently President of both the Hungarian Spaniel Association and the Hungarian Kennel Club's Judges' Board. He also holds positions on the FCI European Section and the FCI Judges' Commission, whilst maintaining his profession as a surgeon at the State National Medical Centre in Budapest. In 1985 he became an FCI Show judge and an all rounder in 2001.
Tamas has excelled as a breeder exhibitor of Cocker Spaniels, Miniature Dachshunds and Miniature Poodles. He has won numerous World, European and FCI titles with his Cockers and Dachshunds. Has judged at numerous World, European and FCI International shows at most of the major centres. He has judged in more than 50 countries on 4 continents, including many Europe and World Shows. Member of the British Kennel Club since 1999, president of the Judges’ Board of MEOE since 2000, member of the Judges’ Committee of FCI. Began exhibiting Dalmatians in 1952 but is best known for her long association with Poodles. With her husband, Howard, she has bred, owned, and handled several champions, including Ch. Alee What Price a Dream, one of the most influential sires in recent Poodle history. She has been an officer for several dogs clubs and is currently president of the Evergreen Colorado Kennel Club. Began judging obedience in 1958. By 1974 she was approved to judge all obedience classes, the Non-Sporting Group, the Toy Group, and several working breeds. That same year, she resigned from judging to join the AKC field staff, becoming one of only two woman field representatives at the time. Mrs. James retired from the field staff in 1991 and resumed judging, eventually becoming an all-breed judge. Career highlights include judging the Toy Group at the 2002 Westminster show, Best in Show assignments at the International and Golden Gates shows, and judging Standard Poodles at the Poodle Club of America specialty show in 1972.

JANSSEN, Mrs. Denys

Mrs. Janssen was born in India and raised in Guyana, her parents always had dogs – mainly English Cocker Spaniels. She purchased her first Great Dane in 1977 while living in Jamaica and started showing her there. In 1979 she moved to Colombia and continued showing and breeding Great Danes – importing several from England. In 1988 she also bred and owned several BIS Pointers.
In 1996 Mrs. Janssen started judging and in 2001 was approved to judge All Breeds by the F.C.I. She has been active in the Asociación Club Canino Colombiano for many years holding the position of Show Director for 10 years and Technical Director for 2 years. Presently she is the Show Director for the Asociación Colombiana de Labradors Retrievers y Demás Razas Puras and a member of the Pointer Club of America. She has judged in many countries: U.S.A., Canada, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, Panamá, Ecuador, Peru, Jamaica and Colombia.

Began judging in 1973 and is a Kennel Union of Southern Africa & FCI all breeds judge passed to award CC's (CACIB's) in all breeds in all FCI countries. Judged in Australia (including the Sydney Spring Fair, Dalwood International & Toowoomba Royal), Brazil, Canada, India, Indonesia, Namibia, Norway & Zambia. Started breeding and showing in 1967 with Irish Terriers, then a few years later introduced Wire Haired Fox Terriers into the kennel. In 1979 imported two Welsh Terriers from Michael Collins of Purston Kennels in England. In 1981 the male, an English Champion, won the SA supreme champion - a contest of all breed BIS winners. Prize was a trip to an FCI International show in Europe and exhibited in Berne (Switzerland) and Luxemburg. In 1985 imported two Bichon Frise from the USA and since then over the years, three more from England. In 1995 imported a Griffon Bruxellois from England. Has handled the following breeds to BIS level - Irish Terrier, Bichon Frise, Welsh Terrier and Wire Haired Fox Currently still Exhibiting Irish Terriers. Served as Chairman of the Natal Terrier Club for 30 years, now Club Patron and also has been President of both the Kwa-Zulul Natal Staffordshire Bull Terrier & the Natal Bull Terrier Clubs. Guy was born in old colonial Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, into a family owned by Dachshunds. Guy also has a love for all animals and was an avid horseman. The Grand Gables Kennel was registered in 1972, when Guy acquired his first Shetland Sheepdog, hence his involvement in both Shelties and Dachshunds. Guy has since qualified as an All-breed International FCI /KUSA judge and Canadian All-breed Judge, having had the privilege to judge at Championship Show level in Great Britain, America, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Finland, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Venezuela and Zimbabwe. Guy is interested in and has been involved in many breeds over the years and owned or bred in excess of 200 Champions on 4 Continents, including Shetland Sheepdogs, Dachshunds, American Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherd Dogs, Whippets, Chihuahuas, a Boston Terrier and a Smooth Fox Terrier. With his main love being the Sheltie, Guy was Chairman of The Shetland Sheepdog Club of South Africa for 10 years, Vice Chairman of South African Dachshund Club and sat on the Judges Council of Kennel Union of South Africa prior to emigrating in December 1998 to Canada. Together with life partner Mark McMillan, they are proud of their contribution and part they have played in dogdom worldwide.

Siv has had dogs since 1960 and was first licensed to judge at CC shows in 1970. Over the years she has had Scottish Terriers, Griffon Bruxellois, Petit Brabancons, Scottish Terriers, Sealyham Terriers, Norwich Terrier, Rottweilers, Cairn Terriers, and Scottish Deerhounds. Her best remembered dogs are Scottish Terrier of The Year 1978-1979, Int Ch Femettas My Goodness; Griffon Of The Year 1992-1995, Int SNZ Ch Moerangi Delusion and Ch Shenden Viceroy. Mr. Johansson established his Yorkshire Terrier kennel in 1970 under The Prefix “ Henrikville” He is a founder member of the Swedish Yorkshire Terrier Club, the Swedish Pekingese Club and the Swedish Chihuahua Club. He had made up many Champions in these breeds and also breeds West Highland White Terriers. Mr. Johansson is an FCI All Round Judge. He is fluent in English.

Karl-Erik has had Boxers since year 1962. He has imported few dogs from Great Britain and also bred in a small scale under prefix Kalles. He become a judge in 1977 and an FCI All Breeds judge in 1997.  His passion has been in showing and breeding Boxers which he has owned for many years. Mr Johansson who is fluent in English, has judged in all the Nordic countries, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy. Dr. Mathew C. John, is a veterinarian by profession with the academic qualification of M.V.Sc., Ph.D., and he retired as the Professor and Head, Department of Wildlife Science, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai, under the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. He has served in various committees in the academic side of the Veterinary University. 
Dr. Mathew C. John is the founder committee member of the Madras Canine Club, he is also a life member of the Kennel Club of India and a managing Committee Member of the Kennel Club of India. He has been regularly contributing professional articles to the Indian Kennel Gazette, the official magazine of Kennel Club of India. 
He is a pet lover from his childhood and showed keen interest in dog shows from his college days. He entered the dog game with a standard smooth Dachshund, Cinbob’s Cindy. He was seriously involved in breeding Dachshunds, Basset Hound, Tibetan Spaniels, Labradors, Whippets, Spitz and made many champions under the “CINBOB” prefix. He is a member of the World Wide Fund-Nature India, Chennai Naturalists Society and in Zoo Outreach Organization.
Central Government under the Ministry of Environment and Forest has appointed him as a Member of Central Zoo Authority of India, the apex body responsible for enhancing the role of Zoos as Institutions for conservation breeding for a period of three years (2004-2007). He is also a member of the committee on research, to identify the areas of the Zoo management, appointed by the MEF/Chairman, Central Zoo authority of India.
He is an all breeds judge in the Kennel Club of India panel and has been judging many shows all over India also in Sri Lanka and Australia. Invariably after the shows the club organizes a professional discussion with him to clarify the professional doubts of canine breeding problems and treatment of problematic cases.

Philip John grew up with German Shepherds. In 1977 he became an All Breeds judge on the KCI panel. Today at 62 he has over 29 years of judging experience both nationally and at international shows.
He has judged all breeds at international level from 1981. Thereafter, he has judged several shows in New Zealand, and Australia where he judged Sydney Royal in 1995 and 2003. He has also judged the Brisbane, Canberra and Hobart Royal (2). He has also been a regular visitor to South Africa and has judged in Brazil.
Among the Asian countries he has judged in Japan, Philippines, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and of course India. 
He has judged regularly in Sweden and Norway. He has judged in Denmark and Finland. Philip has also judged at prestigious shows in Hungary and Italy, as well as, the Euro Dog Show in Bratislava (Slovakia). 
He has officiated as judge at in GSD, Sight Hound, Dachshund, Doberman, Boxer, Rottweiler, Great Dane, Dalmatian and Tibetan breed specialties. 
Philip was involved with several breeds. He bred Doberman, Lhasa Apso, Beagle, Dachshund (STD Smooth), Miniature Pinscher and GSD. 
He has kept and shown Greyhound, Whippet, Afghan Hound, Saluki, Dachshund (Long) and Caravan Hound (Indian Sight Hound).
Philip John serves on the Kennel Club of India’s governing council and now lives in Chennai.

Tony was born in the U.K. into a dog orientated family, his Father having working dogs (Border Collies & Pembroke Corgi) and his mother having gundogs (Cocker Spaniels). The natural consequence was that he should also become involved at a very early age. His main involvement has been in the Terrier Group, in which he breeds Bull Terriers with success for many years and is currently an R.O.M. judge for the breed, and more recently the Soft Coated Wheaten. Tony also has a very strong affiliation with the Working and Gundog Groups stemming from his parents. Breeds he has owned, and of special interest are; Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Border Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Border Collie, Pembroke Corgi, Shih Tzu & Griffon Bruxellois. He has been judging since 1976, commencing with Terriers and achieved All Breed status in 1990. His judging appointments have taken him throughout Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Indonesia and Malaysia, covering all Groups and Speciality shows. The highlight of his judging career was being invited to judge the Epol Supreme Competition (restricted to multiple Best in Show Winners) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Tom's first introduction to dogs was while he was still living at home and the family owned a Labrador Retriever. When he left home the Labrador went with him and he has never been without a dog since. After owning two horses he moved into the world of dog showing. 
He became associated with Dobermanns in December 1974 when he obtained one of the last daughters of Ch. Iceberg of Tavey which started him showing in 1975. His first litter was breed in 1977 and he started judging in 1983. He awarded CC’s for the first time in 1994 at the North of England Dobermann Club. His second breed was Border Terriers. He obtained his first one in 1976, started to show in 1977 and bred his first litter in 1978. He awarded CC’s for the first time at The National Terrier in 1995.
Tom's third breed in which he has had an active interest in since 1981 when he obtained a bitch from the Tenki Kennels are Basenjis. He awarded CC’s in the breed for the first time in 1993. He still enjoys showing and at present this includes a Rhodesian Ridgeback imported from Sweden and a Dobermann. He has also owned one Fox Terrier (Smooth).  He awards  *CC’s in the following breeds: Dobermann, Basenji, Border Terrier, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, Welsh Terrier and Kerry Blue Terrier. He awards  *Green Stars in the following breeds : Elkhound, Irish Wolfhound, Whippet, Dobermann, St. Bernard, Bernese Mountain Dog and Newfoundland.  He judges at  *Open Show level in all Groups, and is eligible to judge stakes classes in the UK.
He has judged in Russia, Australia, South Africa, Malta and Ireland,  also Jersey and Guernsey. Has appointments in Australia and South Africa in 2006 and Sweden in 2007.
He has passed and has judged Terrier, Hound and Working groups in South Africa. He judged American Staffordshire Terriers and awarded CC’s, also Jack Russell Terriers in SA, breeds which they do not have in the UK.  At present he is a Committee member of the Executive Council of The Scottish Kennel Club and serve on the Finance and Administration sub-committee and is Vice-Chairman of the Show Scheduling Committee. He has served on the Liaison Committee of the Scottish Kennel Club for several years. Chairman of The Caledonian Canine Society, and is a member of The Kennel Club. He serves on the Disciplinary (Scotland) Kennel Club Committee, and is Chief Steward at the Scottish Kennel Club and a Group Steward at Crufts.

First licensed to judge in 1986, Johan purchased his first dog in 1965, and has owned and bred Norwich Terriers, Lagotto Romagnoli, Miniature Schnauzers, and Red Irish Setters since 1978. Fluent in Finnish, Swedish, English and German, he has judged in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, England, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and extensively throughout Finland.
Mr Juslin has been a board member of the Finnish Terrier Club, The Finnish Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club. Currently he is a board member of the Finnish Judges' Society. He's a past president for the above mentioned Norwich & Norfolk Terriers Club and The Finnish Peke Club. He has also been the Show Secretary for years for one All Breed Championship and educating judges for Norfolk and Norwich Terriers.
