Sicily, ITALY

FCI Group 4 + Specialist    (Click for List)

Web Site

  Phone: +39-337-889873   Email: Click here

Massimo has a degree in Economic Sciences and is General Manager of a hotel in the heart of Sicily. To be honest, Massimo's interest in Dogos began by chance. One afternoon in the early nineties, he went to visit a friend at his warehouse for construction materials. After a couple of minutes of conversation, he began to tell him about a man that walked a strange white mastiff in the area, on a daily basis. With time, Massimo's curiosity grew, as did his visits, in hope of seeing this mysterious white dog. After a couple of unfruitful attempts to see this strange dog, just as he was about to give up hope, he finally saw the dog! It was a female who was a couple of years old and, in all truth, its coat was rather stained. However, in his eyes, she was so beautiful that it was love at first sight. He had found his dog! The owner began to tell him about this exotic breed which, at that time, was very rare, and was created by crossing a number of other breeds in order to produce a dog which would serve to hunt pumas and wild boars. At that point, Massimo's love for the breed had already transformed itself into profound passion.
Massimo and his wife had already been planning to move into a house in the country ... what better occasion to have a new friend? The owner of the female dog told him that he was planning to mate his dog with another male of the same breed, a very nice male at that. Without thinking twice, he decided to book one of the puppies. Everything began like this, by chance. Perhaps all good things in life should begin in this manner. A lot of time, many litters and Champions have passed since that time but the passion is always the same.
Massimo has been a Dogo Argentino specialist judge since 2004. He is also authorised to judge Bernese Mountain Dog, Boxer, Bulldog, Bullmastiff, Cane Corso, Central Asia Shepherd Dog, Caucasian Shepherd Dog, Dobermann, Dogue de Bordeaux, Fila Brasileiro, Great Dane, Hovawart, Leonberger, Mastiff, Neapolitan Mastiff, Pyrenean Mastiff, Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Rottweiler, Sarplaninac (Yugoslav Shepherd Dog), Schnauzer (all), Shar Pei, Spanish Mastiff, St. Bernard, Tibetan Mastiff, Zwergpinscher (Miniature Pinscher) and Group 4  (all).
