GABOGRECAN, Ms. Barbara

Toys, Non Sporting and Utility Groups

Barbara Gabogrecan has an international licence for the Toys, Non Sporting and Utility Groups and a Victorian license for the Hounds and Terrier Groups. Barbara developed a love and a keen eye for animals during her life in the bush. She rode an Anglo Arab horse for many years; Sri finally passed away at the wonderful age of 40. Barbara has bred and exhibited dogs such as Dalmatians, Boxers, Miniature Schnauzers, Maltese, Akitas, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Australian Terriers.

GAGNE, Ms. Olga 

Working, Herding

Retired teacher. Acquired first Giant Schnauzer in 1974. Bred numerous Canadian and American Champions. Many Giant Schnauzers had major specialty wins, Best in Show wins, Best Puppy in Show wins and top rankings in the breed in Canada. In 1988, her Giant was #1 Working Dog in Canada. Ten years ago purchased a Papillon. Actively showing and breeding, an involved member in Giant Schnauzer Canada, continually holding various executive positions. Also a long-standing member of the Giant Schnauzer Club of America. With Papillons, also a member of the Canadian and American National Papillon Clubs. Qualified to judge the temperament of all breeds of dogs at their tests. Acquired CKC judging status in 1998, starting with the Working Group and progressing to the Herding Group.

GANAMI-KERTES, Dr Agnes

All Breeds

Agnes is renown for introducing the Shiba Inu into her country of Israel, breeding many champions among this breed as well as breeding German Shepherds and Standard Schnauzers. Over 30 years breeder of German Shepherds, Standard Schnauzers and Shiba Inu, Agnes began her judging career in 1970, qualifying as “All Breeds” in 1985. Formerly a Chemical Engineer for the Israel Government, Agnes is now retired and enjoys spending time with her three children and four grandchildren, keeping herself busy writing articles, giving lectures and maintaining an involvement with the judges’ education programme. Judged at Melbourne Royal 2005. Fluent in Hebrew, French, English, German & Hungarian.

GANOZA, Senor Jaime

FCI All Breeds

Jaime is a breeder/owner/handler of Afghans Hounds since 1975. Over these years he has had the opportunity to produce more than 80 champions under the Dega Afghans and Chaman & Dega prefixes. As a breeder/owner he has handled his Afghans all the way to win more than 70 BIS, not only in Peru but other countries as well.
The gene pool used in his breeding program allowed him to produce, in six generations of home bred dogs, champions in a dozen countries along the American continent, from USA to Argentina. Many of these Champions became Group and BIS Winners at national and international level. As breeder/owner he had the honour to achieve memorable accomplishments, winning several times the Trophies to Best Breeder of the Year and Best Dog of the Year. Internationally, his Afghans have won multiple BOB and Groups at FCI World Shows, multiple BOW at important Specialties in USA, a Best Bred By at a AHCA National Specialty and Award of Merit at the Garden. He was part of the panel at the First Afghan Hound World Congress held in 1995 at San Diego, California. 
Jaime attained his first FCI license to judge Afghan Hounds in 1995, and All Breeds in 2002. After this he had the honour to judge Specialties and/or All Breed shows in USA, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rico, Estonia, New Zealand, Australia, (Tasmania).  Jaime has had the privilege of judging some important specialties such as the 2003 Afghan Hound Of Greater Chicago Specialty, the 2004 Australian Afghan Hound National Specialty, the 2006 Estonian Sight Hound Specialty, the 2006 Tidewater Afghan Hound Club, The 2006 Hound Club of Auckland Championship Show, and the 2006 Melbourne Hound Specialty.

GARACH DOMECH, Senor Angel

All Breeds

Angel started out with assisting in the foundation of the Canine Society of Eastern Andalusia, of which he was Secretary, both first years from its foundation. Later he held the position of President during a year and other positions of the Board of directors. 
His first breed was the Black Schnauzer Miniature, when it was practically a unknown dog and it was really difficult to find exemplary in his country. His dog "Sandy Zip Zap of the Terrona", won the MILLRACE of Monographic Of The Year, celebrated in Parquelagos, finishing the necessary points for the Championship of Spain. Later he raised Airedale Terriers over the years with reproducers of the main English bloodlines. He did breed a couple of litters of Shepherd Alemán and Cavalier King Charles.
Until now Angel has judged fifty national and international exhibitions and has been invited to judge in Portugal, Norway, France, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Lithuania, Australia, Poland, and numerous times to Finland, where he had the honor to be invited to judge the Annual Finery Champion of Champions of Year in 1996, most upper the canine event of that country. For years 2000 and 2001 he had appointments to judge in Australia, Poland and Holland and Denmark.

GARLAND, Mr. Aldon

All Breeds

Has been involved with purebred dogs since 1958. Was breeder/exhibitor of GSD's, then Scottish Terriers & Bassett Hounds. Presently involved with his wife breeding & exhibiting Newfoundland dogs. 
Judged his first show in 1965, and judges all breeds since 1975. Says that each aspect of the dog game has been a learning experience & equally enjoyable, It has been his #1 hobby.

GERINGER, Mrs. Gloria

Sporting, Hound, Non Sporting and most Toys

A Chartered Accountant by profession. Her interest in dogs began in the mid-sixties with a parti-coloured American Cocker Spaniel. She excelled in breeding and exhibiting producing many champions and taking top honours. She was likewise successful in breeding and exhibiting Pointers. Was a professional handler of excellence. Her prefix still appears in the pedigrees of some of the top Yankies. She has curtailed breeding due to her judging. Was also successful with Mini Long Haired Dachshunds and has two retired ones at present.
She was President of the local Kennel Club and still serves as a member, is well known and respected for her seminars on Cockers and other breeds in the group. She has judged at most of the prestigious Gundog shows in the States and many in other countries including Switzerland, England, Columbia, Spain, Australia, China, Russia and more.

GERMUNDSSON, Mr. Ove

FCI  All Breeds

A Restaurant manager by profession, Ove was first licenced to judge in 1991. His own breeds are Bulldogs and Bullmastiffs. He has also owned Swedish Vallhunds and Welsh Corgi (Pembroke). In particular, his best known dog would be Ch Extrem's Ovation of Osyth (Bulldog) – The Dog of the Year 1992 (All Breeds). Fluent in English, he has judged in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, England, Wales and Australia.

GILHAM, Mr. Robert (Bob) 

All Breeds

Brought up in a doggy household, his parents bred British Bulldogs and when they stopped breeding and the last of their Bullies had gone, they acquired several Dalmatians which Bob had the pleasure of handling. His first breed, when he was a teenager, was the Beagle. Bob and wife, Irene, have owned both English and Irish Setters. Over the years Bob has bred English and Irish Setters, Beagles and English Cocker Spaniels. Bob was formerly a professional handler of all breeds but specialised in the sporting breeds. Initially approved to judge in 1978, he attained All-Breed status in 1996. He has judged all breed and breed specialty shows from coast to coast in Canada and has judged all breed shows in the U.S.A since the 1980’s. In 1999 he judged in Melbourne and Hobart.

GLADSTONE, Mr. Steven

Herding, Working, some Hounds

Mr. Gladstone sits on the AKC Board of Directors. He and his wife, Marieann, have bred and shown Cardigan Welsh Corgis under the Aragorn prefix since 1974. They have been particularly successful with their blue merle lines, but have bred dogs of most Cardigan colors. Aragorn dogs have earned more than 100 AKC titles in nearly every aspect of the sport in which a Cardigan can compete. One of their most cherished memories was winning BOB at the 1984 AKC Centennial Show in Philadelphia under noted Cardigan fancier Dr. Ed McGough. The Gladstones have also owned Norwegian Elkhounds, German Shepherd Dogs, and Australian Shepherds. 
Mr. Gladstone began judging match shows in the late 1970s and was approved to judge Cardigans in 1988. He has since added the Herding and Working groups and five hound breeds. Judging trips have included assignments in New Zealand, England, Canada, and Saint Petersburg, Russia. 
Mr. Gladstone has been AKC delegate from the Reno Kennel Club since 1999. Mr. and Mrs. Gladstone are members of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America, and each has served on the club’s board of directors. They are also longtime members of the Pocono Mountain Kennel Club and the Penn Ridge Kennel Club.

GLENDINNING, Mrs. Honey A.

All Breeds

Been involved in showing and breeding since 1970 and started judging in 1983. She got her first dog from her parents for her 16th birthday. An Irish Setter. Has owned and exhibited English Setters, Irish Setters, Newfoundlands, Dachshunds and Dalmatians. She and her husband Rick have the Fantail Kennels, one of the top producing English Setter Kennels in Canadian history. Has judged throughout Canada and in Australia, Brazil, England, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, USA 

GLENDINNING, Mr. J. Richard

Been involved in showing, and breeding since 1968 and started judging in 1981. His initial breed was Newfoundlands. He and his wife Honey have the Fantail Kennels, one of the top producing English Setter Kennels in Canadian history. GOMEZ, Mrs. Alane L.

Alane began judging at dog shows in l966 and her husband Tomas has been judging for AKC since l976. Currently both Mr. and Mrs. Gomez are active on the show circuits and judge shows throughout the USA. They continue to raise Shetland Sheepdogs that they train and exhibit in conformation, obedience, and agility. Alane is also a licensed judge for Junior Showmanship - All Breeds, Obedience Novice, Obedience Open, Obedience Utility and Obedience - Non-Reg Classes

Edna has been into dog shows since was a little girl, showing her father's dogs in México, Puerto Rico, and United States. She grew up with Irish Setters, Boxers, English Springer Spaniels, Fox Terriers (Smooth), Rottweilers and Beagles. She has judged shows in the United States, Canada, México, Australia, Spain, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Venezuela.

GOODWIN, Mr. Allan H.

All Breeds

Allan has been involved with the showing of dogs since 1963, beginning with the Collie (Rough), then to Irish Setters in 1969, with which he was very successful, attaining many Group Firsts and Best in Show awards.  His daughter started with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in 1972, a club which he helped form and run for the next 12 years. In recent years he has taken over the breeding and exhibiting of Cavaliers, again attaining many Group Firsts and Best in Show awards. 
He commenced judging in 1978 and since that time has judged in every state of Australia and both islands of New Zealand many times. He has also judged in the USA and the Philippines. In America he has judged on both the East and West Coast and in each case considers himself fortunate to have judged a Group. In recent years he has been responsible for the training of Gundog Trainee Judges and has acquired the Hound Group. Allan is also involved in other sub committees of the VCA and is President of an all-breed club. 

GORJÃO-HENRIQUES, Senor Luis

Luis started “Vale do Criz” kennels in 1982, although the first dog show was in 1979. Owner/breeder of Champion Boxers, Portuguese Pondengo Small Smooth Hair, Portuguese Pointer, Fox Terrier (both coats), Parson Russell Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier, with over 160 championship titles achieved. Luis is qualified to judge: Group I – German Shepherd and all Portuguese Breeds; Group II – Boxer, Bulldog, Doberman, Great Dane, Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Rottweiler and all Portuguese Breeds; Group III: Airedale, American Staffordshire, Bull, Fox, Parson Russell, Scottish, West Highland White and Yorkshire.; Group V: Alaskan Malamute, America Akita, Akita-Inu, Samoyed, Shiba-Inu, Siberian Husky and all Portuguese Breeds; Group VII: Portuguese Pointer; Group VIII: Portuguese Water Dog.

GRAFFMANN, Mrs. Deborah C.

Sporting, Hounds, Working, Herding (Prov. Toys)

Grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada surrounded by animals. The family had German Shepherds, an Irish Terrier, and a Pomerian. Wags. In the early 1970's she began showing and breeding Irish Setters; her show handlers were also showing Whippets and she was able to obtain her first one from them - MaGriffe's Winged Foot Whipper, who did nice winning in the group ring. She migrated from the Irish to the Whippets and registered "Vantage" as a Whippet kennel in 1980. Vantage produced many champions including Specialty winners and is behind many winning lines today. Her husband Gordon had a longing for a Boxer and so they acquired their first one in 1991 - as the Whippets lived out their lives their Boxers increased in numbers. Vantage has imported top winning Boxers from Argentina from the famous Willsam kennels to add to their American and Canadian bloodlines . Deborah is the President of the Kilbride & District Kennel Club in Ontario, and past Show Chair of the Whippet Club of Eastern Canada. She has been judging since 1995, in the U.S. and Canada. Currently she is licenced for all Sporting, Hounds, Working, Herding and is on permit for all of the Toy group.

GRAVES, Mr. Neil W.

All Breeds

Neil started in the dog world by showing a German Shepherd dog in Obedience in 1966. Shortly thereafter he decided to show in confirmation and began to breed and show Old English Sheepdogs. He soon realized that living in the city was not conducive to an Old English breeding program so he went in search of a smaller breed thus the Lhasa Apso. He has owned and bred Lhasa Apso’s from 1974 – 2008. No longer breeding or showing the Lhasa Apsos’ he still has the Shih Tzu breed in the TruBlu kennel.
The TruBlu kennel has been the dominant Lhasa Apso kennel in Canada from 1977 to present, achieving over 60 Best In Shows. Even though Neil is no longer breeding or showing the Lhasa Apso he has many co-owned dogs still in the ring today. He has also campaigned and handled Great Danes, Shih Tzu’s, Pekingese and Whippets.
Neil is a retired fire-fighter serving on the City of Calgary Fire Department for 32 years. Upon his retirement in 1999 he became an all breeds judge. He has judged in many countries such as: Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Columbia, Brazil, Sweden and Norway. 

GREATHOUSE, Dr. Richard

Hound, Working, Terrier, Herding, Misc Breeds

He started in Collies and Shelties in 1953, and bred Champion collies through the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Joined Collie Club of Kentucky in 1954. Served as its president during 1958/59. Joined Collie Club of America in 1954 and is lifetime member of CC of Kentucky and the Louisville Kennel Club. Served as president of Louisville K.C. during 1965/66 and also served as AKC delegate during 1969 to l974. Licensed for collies in 1959 and for shelties in 1961 and now judges all Hounds, Working and Herding and major Terrier breeds, Best in Show and Junior showmanship. Ambassador for Morris Research Foundation for 25 years. He has judged the Collie Cub of America National 3 times, Doberman Pinscher Club of America 4 times, Akita Club of America, Giant Schnauzer Club of America, Mastiff Club of America, Komondor Club of America, Lakeland Terrier Club of America, Westminster Kennel Club 4 times, Beverly Hills Kennel Club, Westchester International and most other major show. 

GREEN, Mr. Percival Rodger

All Breeds

Been involved in the dog sport since 1964 and has bred and exhibited Pekingese, Keeshond and Shih Tzu and has Championed dogs in those Breeds. Also owned Great Danes and Yorkshire Terriers but never exhibited them. At present has Shih Tzu and Yorkshire Terriers.
Has been a Committee Member of Goldfields Kennel Club, the largest All Breed Club in Africa for the past forty years, having served as Vice Chairman for fourteen years and Chairman since September 1996.
Served on The Federal Council of The Kennel Union of Southern Africa, and is still active on The Provincial Council (Sub Committee of Kennel Union) and has been for the past thirty two years, was Chairman of The Specialist Clubs Sub Committee for eight of the fifteen years he served on that Committee.
Started judging in 1971 and is an All Round Judge, has  judged at all the major centres in South Africa. Has judged in Australia on five occasions, three occasions in New Zealand and Brazil, four times in India, also in also judged in Tasmania, Zambia, Peru, Namibia, Norway, Thailand, Canada and several times in Zimbabwe and has been to Israel to observe working dogs for a competition hosted by Goldfields Kennel Club at their championship show held in August annually.

GREENE, Sylvia

Terrier , Non Sporting and Toy Group International Judge 

Sylvia started off showing Wire Fox Terriers and Scottish Terriers. She was an active member of the "Club Argentino del Terrier" and founder of the Fox Terrier Club of Argentina. She is at present National Breed Director for the Club. Began judging in 1982 and has become a Terrier , Non Sporting and Toy Group Judge . (FCI groups 3 and 9). She has judged all through South America, and Europe and has had the honour of judging the Fox Terrier Breed at Argentina's World Show in 1993. Written several articles in Dog magazines and has held conferences on "Breeding". She also took part as examiner for New Judges for the Shih Tzu Club. 

GREER, Mr. Ray T.

All Breeds

Has owned & bred Shetland Sheepdogs since 1971. Attained All Breeds license in 1990. Has judged in Canada, extensively in SE Asia, India, South Africa, all states in Australia & throughout NZ.

GREGORY, Mr. Bob

All Rounder

Bob first came into the world of Dalmatians in 1965 and his second litter in 1969 produced Ch. Sceptre Snoopy, the first of many home bred champions and who still to this day holds the record in the Pedigree Veteran Stakes winning through to the final the most consecutive times, with his son and daughter joining him in the 1982 final. In particular 1982 saw the birth of Disney, (Ch. Disneytime at Spotarton) who was the top bitch in the breed in 1984 who was followed shortly after by Ch. Spotarton Spring Into Line a reserve group winner. The Spotarton kennel emphasized sound breed temperament and excellent movement .
Tibetan Terriers became his second Breed in the 1980’s and several homebred Champions were produced, one of whom was a group winner.
Bob’s judging career started in 1974, awarding Challenge Certificates for the first time in 1979, since which time he has awarded C.Cs in the breed on 21 occasions .
Within a very short time in judging he was asked to judge other breeds and quickly became an all rounder, currently awarding C.Cs in 27 breeds in the Utility, Working and Pastoral breeds and is approved to judge the Utility Group, Working Group and B.I.S. by the U.K. Kennel Club . One of the Highlights in his judging career was judging Dalmatians at Crufts in 2002 and subsequently judging the Utility Group at Crufts in 2005.
Bob is the Chairman of Manchester Dog Show Society, one of the top four Championship Shows in the U.K. having been on the committee in a variety of roles since 1978. He is a K.C. assessor for Utility Group for the Judges Development Programme, and is the Coordinator for the Pastoral Group JDP. and a K.C. lecturer both on Conformation and Movement, and a Hands on Assessor.
Something for the records….. Bob has judged over 1100 classes, 57000 dogs and awarded B.I.S. on over 170 occasions. By October 2007 he will have judged in all five Continents and had the pleasure of judging Dalmatians at the first International in Dalmatia at the end of the Croatian/ Bosnian war. He has judged the breed at club shows in many countries including Australia, New Zealand, Russia, France, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Norway plus at International Shows in South Africa, Finland, Ireland and in October 2007 America.

GREGORY, Mr. Joseph E.

All Breeds

Initial breed is Boxers, since about 1948. Has judged in many countries, including South America, Australia, Japan, England, Jamaica. Joseph was a very successful all breed handler for many years before retiring from handling to go into judging.

GULBRANSEN, Ms. Geraldine

All Breeds

Geraldine was born in the UK and emigrated to Australia and then NZ as a young girl. Dogs have always been a part of her life, her parents breeding and showing Old English Sheepdogs and Bulldogs and her sister Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
German Shepherds were always Geraldine's first love and she has been involved in breeding and showing of them for over 25years. She has bred, owned and shown many Champions, Best In Show, and excellent graded animals competing successfully at both All Breed and Specialist shows.
She has also owned and had a great interest in British Bulldogs and has been actively involved in different breeds and Groups, especially the Gundog group.
Geraldine is past President and life member of the Manawatu GSD Club and has been involved in various other clubs and committees. She is presently on the committee of an all breeds club and actively involved with the NZ Judges Scheme. 
She attained her first championship panel for the Working Group in 1987 and from there progressed to becoming an All Breed licensed judge. She has judged extensively in New Zealand and in Australia and has had the privilege of judging her own breed at specialty shows. She has attended as a spectator at Crufts and the German Shepherd Sieger shows in Scandinavia and Germany. Through her dogs and her judging she has had the privilege to meet some wonderful people and judge some magnificent dogs.

First licensed in 1983, Miles and Liz are now both All Breeds Judges and have judged extensively throughout Australia at all levels. Judging assignments for both Specialty and All Breeds Shows have also taken them overseas to many countries, including England, Ireland, the USA, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Sweden, Portugal, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Barbados and Trinidad. Both Miles and Liz are heavily involved in the education of Judges in Australia as Lecturers, Group Leaders and Examination Assessors. Seminars and lectures have been provided by both Liz & Miles in Australia and overseas. Contributions have also been made to a variety of publications including Australia’s Number 1 dog publication The National Dog.
Their involvement in Club Administration has also been extensive. Both are Life Members of the Boxer Club of NSW and the Utility Club of NSW, having served both Clubs in a number of positions including President, Secretary and Treasurer. Liz is the Foundation, and current Permanent Secretary of the National Boxer Breed Council (Australia). Both are International Members of the British Boxer Club and the American Boxer Club.
Well known for their top winning Guntop Boxers, more than 50 Champions have been bred or owned by Miles & Liz, and there have been Guntop Champions in 7 countries, including 2 American Champions. Decades of dedication have been given to the breed. Top dogs have been imported by Miles & Liz, including International CH/Multi Champion/World CH. Atibox Sieger Tenor de Loermo (Imp Spain), the 1994 Top Dog All Breeds in Holland, and his grandson, Novecento del Nettuno (imp Italy), their most recent import, as well as the famous AM. CH. Salgrays Argo of Memorylane (Imp USA). Guntop Boxers were also the first in the world to use International frozen semen in Boxers, with their first importation in 1991.
Joining the Boxers at Guntop is the Standard long haired Dachshund, Am. CH. SlamDunks Fast Break (Imp USA) a Group and Specialty winner, and their Clydesdale horses.

GUTIERREZ-OTERO, Peggy

Peggy was born in a dog-oriented family. At the age of five her family got involved in show dogs, an activity she still practices. At that time she had American Cocker Spaniels and Wirehaired Fox Terriers. Later on she bred Dalmatians, Basset Hounds and Whippets. She doesn't breed currently as her work (Architect) doesn't provide her with much free time, but she has two registered Bassets from a very reputable breeder in Canada.
Peggy belongs to the FCM, which is the National Kennel Club in Mexico affiliated to the FCI. She has been an All Breeds Judge since 1989. She has judged in most of the Latin American Countries, USA, Canada and Australia. (Melbourne Royal Show 1995/8) Last year she judged at the World Show held in Mexico City and the Latin American and Caribbean Show held in Quito, Ecuador.
