Carole was born in England and moved to Austria in 1967 where she was head girl in Austria's top riding stables. She left to marry and work for IBM and turned her overpowering animal interests to dogs. Carole worked for IBM over 36 years before retiring in 2007. She started breeding and showing in 1974 with Yorkshire Terriers and made up her first champion with them, that was before her first Griffon adopted me. Since then she has successfully bred and shown Griffons (Gaystock, Buka, Beauview) and Maltese (Mannsown, she owned the litter brother to the 2 x BOB Crufts winner), also Bichon Frise (from the Tresilva kennel). Having discovered the charms of the Havanese she gave up her Maltese and since then has enjoyed everything that this breed brings. Many lines in Europe from all these breeds have Ilkley Moor somewhere in the past.
Today Carole's interest lies in the Havanese, Griffons and Bolognese
breeds. |

Grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada surrounded by animals. The family had German Shepherds, an Irish Terrier, and a Pomeranian, Wags. In the early 1970's she began showing and breeding Irish Setters; her show handlers were also showing Whippets and she was able to obtain her first one from them - MaGriffe's Winged Foot Whipper, who did nice winning in the group ring. She migrated from the Irish to the Whippets and registered "Vantage" as a Whippet kennel in 1980. Vantage produced many champions including Specialty winners and is behind many winning lines today. Her husband Gordon had a longing for a Boxer and so they acquired their first one in 1991 - as the Whippets lived out their lives their Boxers increased in numbers. Vantage has imported top winning Boxers from Argentina from the famous Willsam kennels to add to their American and Canadian bloodlines . Deborah is the President of the Kilbride & District Kennel Club in Ontario, and past Show Chair of the Whippet Club of Eastern Canada. She has been judging since 1995, in the U.S. and Canada. Neil started in the dog world by showing a German Shepherd dog in Obedience in 1966. Shortly thereafter he decided to show in confirmation and began to breed and show Old English Sheepdogs. He soon realized that living in the city was not conducive to an Old English breeding program so he went in search of a smaller breed thus the Lhasa Apso. He has owned and bred Lhasa Apso’s from 1974 – 2008. No longer breeding or showing the Lhasa Apsos’ he still has the Shih Tzu breed in the TruBlu kennel. |

Kathy and her husband Vince, began showing Westies in 1965. Starting with Merryhart Rippin Rory, a son of Ch. Elfinbrook Simon, who had been BIS at Westminster in 1962. In 1975, they added Smooth Fox Terriers, finishing about ten, and breeding approximately six litters. Together, Kathy and Vince finished about thirty dogs (in top California competition) including an owner-handled California multiple group winner Ch. Fitzgerald of Winsom, a Westie.
In addition to Westies and Smooths, Kathy and Vince have owned several Lhasa’s, a German Shepherd, a Siberian Husky and the current mistress of the house

Vince began showing dogs in 1965. Starting with a West Highland White Terrier,
"beginners’ luck" held and Rory finished quickly despite totally novice handling, grooming, training and those hard-to-find majors. Vince and his wife were by then, of course, completely hooked. In 1975, they added Smooth Fox Terriers, which they both thoroughly enjoyed not grooming (almost). They finished 30+ dogs including an owner-handled multiple group winner, Ch. Fitzgerald of Winsom, shown in top California competition. |

Gianni's involvement with dogs started at a very young age, along with his passion for hunting. Not long after, he began training his own dogs for personal use. He began breeding Pointers and English Setters in 1965. Soon after, he established himself with the kennel prefix "del Galeazzo", which comes from his family nickname. From the very start, he began showing his dogs and earning prestigious results in shows and field trials. He has bred other breeds in his career but has invested most of his energies and passion into Pointers. The qualities of the Pointers that he breed were primarily their hunting capabilities combined with the beauty of a show dog. In 1978, he became a judge for both dog shows and field trials competitions. He became an official All-Round judge in 2005, and has had a long prestigious career around the world with International Expositions. Gianni participated as a judge in the World Dog Show in Milan in 2000, at the European Championship in Zagreb in 2007 and judged Pointer, Italian Bracco and Lagotto at the World Championship in Sweden in July 2008. He has been the Vice President of the Comasco Kennel Club for many years. They are the official organization team of the Erba Intenational Dog Show Which boasts more than 2500 competitors. This show is considered to be one of the most important international events in Italy. They also organize Field Trials for pointing dogs and retrievers. Gianni's life revolves around dogs and most of his spare time is spent training them. His greatest love remains hunting. He trains his dogs on a daily basis but also enjoys the excitement of occasionally entering the ring as a competitor. Gianni is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish. |

Peggy was born in a dog-oriented family. At the age of five her family got involved in show dogs, an activity she still practices. At that time she had American Cocker Spaniels and Wirehaired Fox Terriers. Later on she bred Dalmatians, Basset Hounds and Whippets. She doesn't breed currently as her work (Architect) doesn't provide her with much free time, but she has two registered Bassets from a very reputable breeder in Canada. |
