Since her childhood, and thanks to her parents who were as dedicated as she was to animals
Sylvie's always lived with cats and dogs, sometimes of mixed breeds but mostly with
pedigrees. Personally she got her first registered dog in 1974: a Boxer bitch that she loved dearly and who produced her first litter of puppies. Then in 1976 two Shi Tzu’s arrived,
they brought her to the show world. The first time Sylvie went to a dog show, like many of us, she caught the virus of searching for lovely & sound dogs and trying to breed them!
bThe year after was her first visit to Crufts dog show in the UK, and she totally fell for an English Toy Spaniel with a wide, deep, turned up muzzle: the King Charles Spaniel this love at first sight lead to her kennel
"Vilfloriane". Cavalier King Charles joined her kennel later. |

Began exhibiting dogs in 1970. "We purchased a family Great Dane for the children", he says, "and he turned out to be a successful dog in the ring". Pursuing a limited breeding program, Dr. DiNardo produced a record-setting Doberman Pinscher that was number-one dog in the breed from 1982 to 1985. He has also bred winners of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America’s Top 20 and the breed’s national specialty show. Dr. DiNardo became an AKC judge in 1980 and is approved for all hound, working, non-sporting breeds, many sporting breeds, and various toy and herding breeds. He includes among his judging highlights the DPCA nationals, the Rottweiler Club of America’s Top 20, and judging Best of Best in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. DiNardo is the founder and past president of the Connecticut River Working Group Association, the first AKC working-dog member club. A past president of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, he is now the club’s AKC delegate and is proud to have “contributed to many changes at the DPCA.” He is also a member of the Rottweiler Club of America and the First Company Governor’s Footguard. He is the husband of Shelia DiNardo, an AKC judge of Working and Sporting breeds. |

Maria-Luise is well-respected English Cocker Spaniel
breeder/specialist judge. Her first dog, the English Cocker Spaniel "Sir Jackie of Hilltop", came to Maria-Luise in 1973 from Rosemary Charrington. The first litter in her kennel "vom Oesterreichring" was born in October 1975, and since then many successful dogs have been bred and shown by Maria-Luise. More than 70 English Cockers and Border Terriers (co-bred with her ex-husband) bred and/or owned by Maria-Luise became champions in different countries, 7 of them won BIS - the most prestigious win perhaps was BIS at the London Cocker Spaniel Society show with her Top Secret vom Oesterreichring, the first and so far only Austrian bred and owned English Cocker to be shown in the breed's country of origin.
Confirmation shows are not Maria-Luise's only interest in dogs, some of her dogs also won or did very well in hunting trials, and many dogs from her kennel are successful at Companion, Agility, Obedience, Rescue and Tracking Tests. |
