CABION, Mrs Rose-Marie

Rose-Marie has been involved in dogs since 1954 when she first started showing her mother’s Bulldog. In 1969 she started showing and breeding Labrador Retrievers under the “Sleepy Hollow” prefix. Her involvement with other breeds include Whippets and Greyhounds. In addition to showing and breeding dogs, Rose-Marie has been very active in the administrative side of the dog world and was the first lady to be appointed to serve on the Federal Council of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa – a position she held for many years.
Her judging assignments have taken her to many parts of the world, Brazil, Finland, Ireland, England, Norway and Australia, to name just a few. She started judging the Gundog Group in 1967 and became an All Breeds judge in 1984.

Michael has been involved in the Dog World since 1968 as a successful breeder, exhibitor and exporter of Australian Silky Terriers under the "DULCANNINA" prefix and as an exhibitor of all three varieties of Poodles and Lhasa Apsos. From the age of ten he handled his family's dogs in the show ring and later became a partner in the kennel. Making up approximately 55 Champions, Dulcannina bred and owned the first Silky Terrier to win Best in Show at a Royal Show within Australia (Melbourne Royal 1972). Best in Group at 10 Royal Shows throughout Australia including Darwin Royal 1992, Melbourne Royal 1992. 
In addition to his involvement with Silky Terriers, he co-owned and handled the White Standard Poodle "Aust. Ch. Leander White Blazer (Imp Sth Africa)" to Best in Show Sydney Royal Easter Show 1988. 
For the past 8 years he has also been involved with Lhasa Apsos with great success as a partner with Jenny Longmire in the "AMESEN" prefix.
He was first approved to judge the Toy Breeds in 1978 and achieved All Breeds status in 1989.
Michael has officiated at shows in all States of Australia, Sweden, both Islands of New Zealand, India and Canada and judged the Pedigree Chum Junior Showmanship Final at Crufts in 1994. In 1992 he was invited to lecture on Silky Terriers to the Terrier Judges at the Terrier Derby Conference in Sweden. Currently he is the Group 7 (Non Sporting Group) Co-ordinator, Examiner/Assessor and Breed Lecturer with the Judges Training Scheme in South Australia. Judged in Europe 2005 and 2007 and Canberra Royal Show 2006.

CAMPBELL, Mrs. Lizbeth

Lizbeth began her judging career in 1970 and has since enjoyed judging appointments in many European countries. Standard Poodles enticed her into breeding and her involvement with this breed has grown over the years to include editor of the Poodle Gazette and membership on the Board of Breeders of the Poodle Club. She later introduced Miniature Poodles and Pomeranians to her breeding program. Having been editor for the Poodle Gazette and the Authorised Judges Gazette she now concentrates her efforts on the Norwegian Kennel Club Standard Committee. Judged at Melbourne Royal 2005

CAMPBELL, Mr. Ralf

Ralf is a second-generation breeder and judge, his father having bred Norwegian Elkhounds. Ralf became co-owner of his father’s prefix when he came of age and began his own judging career in 1963. Ralf has enjoyed judging assignments in Belgium, Estonia, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Scandinavia, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, USA and South Africa.
An active member of the pedigree dog world, Ralf is currently Vice President of the Board of Representatives of the Norwegian Kennel Club, has been a Chairman of Oslo-Omarådets Elkhound Club, the Board of Breeding, The Show Committee and President of the Association of Norwegian Elkhound Clubs as well as Secretary and Member of many other Clubs and Associations too numerous to name. Awarded The Norwegian Kennel Club's Silver Mark of Distinction. Judged at Melbourne Royal 2005

CANALIZO, Mrs. Lee

Was born into a “dog family.” She began showing and breeding Afghan Hounds in 1961 and got into Salukis shortly thereafter with her husband, Jim, and their three children. “During the heyday of the Afghan in the 1960s and ’70s,” says Mrs. Canalizo, “I finished six generations of typey, correct-moving Afghans that did a moderate amount of group and specialty-show winning—ample rewards for a hobby breeder of that era. I finished many champions in the days of thirty-eight dogs for a major!” Her Afghan bloodlines were behind many champions of future generations.
Mrs. Canalizo was first approved to judge Afghan Hounds in 1976 and now judges all hound, working, and herding breeds, half of the sporting breeds, and Poodles. She has written extensively on the Sighthounds and has taught at many seminars.
She has held “just about every position in many clubs, both all-breed and specialty.” She is a member of the Ladies Kennel Association, the Morris & Essex Kennel Club, and the Sun Coast Afghan Hound Club.

CAPISTRANO, Mr Antonio

Antonio's career as a breeder started in 1978, breeding Great Danes. In 1988 he became a Bichon Frisé breeder and since 1999 he has also been breeding Boxers and Dobermann's. Dogs of his breeding have won more than 50 Best In Show awards, and he has been the top breeder of Bichon Frise for three years. 
Antonio worked as a handler for ten years, showing different breeds, mainly Great Dane, Schnauzer, Saint Bernard, Rottweiler, Bichon Frisé, Poodles Maltese and Shih Tzu. Since 1993, he has been a CBKC/FCI All Rounder (Al Breeds) Judge, judging in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Chile, Canada, Columbia, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru and Venezuela. 
He has worked as a promotion director at Sao Paulo Great Dane and Agility Club, Director of São Paulo State Federal Kennel Club and as a Council, Vice-President, President and now Council President of Kenel Club do ABC and Director of São Paulo State Federal Kennel Club. Antonio  judged at Melbourne Royal in 2007.

Gary has been involved with dogs nearly all his life. His parents brought him his first dog, a Cocker Spaniel, as a gift when he was 12 years old. He worked in boarding kennels in Karori, Wellington as a youngster and helped to show various breeds of dogs for the owners. They include: Dalmatians, Golden Retrievers, Bassett Hounds, Griffon Bruxellois, Springer Spaniels, Standard Schnauzers just to name a few. He has owned and bred American Cocker Spaniels and Samoyeds and has had considerable success with these breeds. 
His Club involvement goes back a very long way. He has been: Secretary/Treasurer for the Cocker Spaniel Club (at the age of 18), Secretary/Treasurer of the Gundog Society (being a foundation member of this Club). Assistant Show Manager of the NZKC National Dog Show, Committee member of The Wellington Management Committee, Secretary of the Wellington Judges Committee and President of The Samoyed Club for 8 years. 
Currently he is Secretary for the Horowhenua-Kapiti Judges Association, Life Member of The Samoyed Club Inc. and is in his third term as President of the Horowhenua Kennel Association. 
Gary and his wife own and operate Boarding Kennels and breed Miniature Horses, Charolais Cattle, Samoyeds and Akitas. Before this lifestyle he was involved in the IT Business working for one of the largest Computer Companies in New Zealand, in a managerial position. Gary started his judging career with the Gundog Group and then Utility, Non Sporting & Toys, and is currently aspiring to the Hound Group.

Has owned, bred and handled over 100 Champions to their Irish Title and many to their UK, Swedish, Danish Finish, Thai Championship titles with great pleasure. Had the honor of exhibiting a Best in Show winner at prestigious Irish Kennel Club International Show, Top Showdog of The Year Awards on several occasions and Best Of Breed winners and CC winners at Crufts.  Owned or handled the following breeds: German Shepherd, Rottweilers, Samoyeds, Giant Schnauzers, St Bernard's, Great Danes, Boxers, Belgian Shepherd's Poodles (all sizes), Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, Bulldog, Japanese Spitz, Chow Chow, Keeshonds, American Cockers, Dachshunds, and most of the Toy Group.  Premier Pomeranian Kennel in Ireland. Being the first to International Championship status - Irish, English, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Polish and Asian titles all handled by the Belliver team - Sean Carroll and James Newman. Terry became involved in the dog world in 1966, and started judging in 1988. She has bred and exhibited Old English Sheepdogs and Chow Chow.
She also had Lhasa Apso and Norfolk Terrier. Has judged in Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, USA, and of course throughout Canada. Terry and her husband, Gary, have raised OES's for over 30 years. They also have show cattle and breed Sport Horses. 

CASWELL, Mr. Robert J.

Robert Caswell, and his wife, Diana, established the Cottonwood Old English Sheepdog kennel name in the early 1970s. Dogs from their line are nationally known for their correct head, coat, and structure, and are sought as breeding stock by other breeders.
Mr. Caswell became a judge of Old English Sheepdogs and Juniors in 1987, and is now approved for the Herding and Working groups, and Best in Show. Judging has taken him from Westminster in New York to top shows in Australia and Taiwan. In 2007, he will judge at the World Show in Mexico City. He holds membership in three San Diego area dog clubs, and has served as an officer in each of them. As a show chairman, he established the well-known Country Club Classic; as show chair of the Cabrillo Kennel Club, he is responsible for presenting shows at Qualcom Stadium.

Born in Lisbon in 1955, Luis has had breed involvement with English and American Cockers, Basset Hounds and Whippets. He is currently Vice-President of the Board of Clube Português de Canicultura (CPC), President of the CPC Show Committee, Member of the FCI Show Committee and President of the Portuguese Spaniel Club.
International Judge for FCI Groups 4, 6, 8 and 10 and BIS, several breeds of Group 1, and Dobermann, he has officiated at Championship Dog Shows in the majority of the European countries. He has also judged in USA and World and European Dog Shows.

Was for many years a professional handler during which time he championed breeds in all groups, and winning Best In Show on numerous occasions. As a breeder and exhibitor of Whippets he has been very successful having won Best In Show on forty-five occasions. He has been instrumental in the formation of six Kennel Clubs in Mexico. Veterinarian, owner, breeder and handler since 1968 of German Shepherd, Borzoi, Boxer, Afghan Hound, American Cocker Spaniel, Shih Tzu, and Whippets. Produced Mexican, International, De Las Americas and World Champions.

Has never made a living outside of dogs, except for a hitch in the army during the Korean War and a nine-month stint with the Forest Service soon after. Began in the sport as a teenager in 1945. He exhibited an Airedale in conformation and obedience, eventually winning a large Airedale specialty under legendary judge Alva Rosenberg. He went on to win more than 500 all-breed Bests in Show, including three times at Santa Barbara, Montgomery County, and Westminster’s 100th anniversary show. Has bred many champions in a variety of Terrier breeds. His Ch. Sylair Special Edition is the top Wire Fox Terrier sire in breed history, producing ninety AKC champions. After more than thirty years as one of the country’s leading breeder-handlers, he became a judge in 1982 and is now approved to judge all groups but Working and Herding. He is a fixture on the seminar circuit, and his monthly column in Canine Chronicle magazine is read by fanciers nationwide. Among the innumerable honors bestowed upon Mr. Chasoudian are Top Dog Handler of the Year (1975); “about six Quaker Oats Awards”; and three Top Show Dog of the Year awards, each won with a different breed. Passionate about art as well as dogs, he is a respected sculptor in bronze of purebred champions. “I believe judges are the architects of the breeds,” he says. “What judges put up, people breed to.”

Kennel Club of India Licensed Judge. Commenced All Breeds judging from 1986. He was introduced to the world of pigeon racing, exotic birds and of course dogs from his birth. His father was a big game hunter and breeding and showing dogs was a routine affair in the Chatterjee household.
Partha has bred and exhibited several breeds such as the Greater German Spitz, Doberman’s, Whippets, Pomeranian’s, Dachshund Std. Smooths, GSD ‘s, Boxer’s, Rottweiler’s And Lhasa Apso’s making up numerous champions and top winners. He shares two prefix/affix - one Patricia Kennels owned jointly with his wife and registered nearly 30 years ago. The other, Questland Kennels is owned jointly with Mr. Michael Liu. Under Questland there are several top winning dogs of various breeds and possibly the most famous Dobermann in the country CH. Apt To B A King's Ransom (imported from USA). He won the coveted BEST IN SHOW at the first ever AKU/FCI show held in India at Chennai in the year 2000. 
Committee member of the K.C.I. and presently associated with several kennel clubs. Commenced judging internationally from the year 1989 and since then has judged several shows in Australia and New Zealand repeatedly. In 1989 he was one of the judge’s for the Melbourne Royal and his other prestigious appointments also include the Pal Blue Ribbon Awards in Auckland, the 2000 Brisbane Royal and the Hobart Royal in 2004. Over the years he has judged in Hong Kong, Nepal, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines. He has many domestic & international all breeds appointments in 2006 & 2007 in several countries.
Mr. Chatterjee owns a pharmacy and a veterinary clinic attended by several veterinarians treating dogs and other animals. Now his new addition is a pet shop in the name & style of Pets & Plant World, which people visit for a world class pet shop experience. Advisory Council Member of the popular Indian pet magazine "Pet India" for which he writes a column.

Tsai has had 30 years of experience in handling dogs with more than 700 competitions, out of which he emerged with multiple Best of Breed wins from over 100 shows and multiple Best in Show wins from over 60 shows. He is the founder of the Boxer Club of Taiwan and the China Boxer Association. 
He began in Miniature Pinschers in 1998, and since then has bred, owned, trained and shown Boxers, Golden Retrievers, Bullmastiff, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, and Schnauzers. He established the "Yi-Ling" Boxer Kennel in 1970, in China.
Tsai obtained his judge qualifications from the Boxer Club of the Republic of China in 1982 and also as judge from China Dog Lover Association in 1992.
During this period he also participated in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Philippines and Thailand as the Boxer Club Handler and Trainer. Furthermore he also trained many young talented handlers. In 2003 he acted as an instructor of Pet Psychology of the Dog Show at World Trade Center.

CHRISTIANSEN, Mr. Frank

Frank's interest in dogs started in 1965. He has owned and bred Boxers, Fox Terriers (wirehair), Rottweilers, Pointers, Polish Owczarek Podhalanski's, German Pointers (shorthair), and Norwegian Elkhounds (grey and black). He was awarded the Namdal Gundog Club's Golden Mark of Distinction. Frank was first licensed to judge in 1979, and has judged in England, Germany, Scandinavia, and the USA. He is fluent in English, plus several other languages.

Elsbeth has owned Scotties since 1964 and started to show her first bitch, Reanda Rasuki bred by the late Mrs. E. Meyer, England, in 1966, and made her an International and Italian Champion. In 1967 she bought Reanda Retitia and 1968 Reanda Riquita and Reanda Rawn joined the house. She made the four bitches multi Champions. The first Rannock puppies were born in November 1968. Over the past 30 years Elsbeth has bred over 100 litters of Scotties with many Champions in different European countries including Crufts BOB 1977 Ch. Swissrannoch Solo - still the only Scottie to win Crufts bred by foreign breeder. She also owned several well known winners such as GB Ch Jetstorm Black Mystery, dam of Ch. Swiss Rannoch Solo, multi Ch Gillson Achievement, multi Ch Raglan Royal Commander bred by Dan Ericsson. She also bred about 50 litters of Westies with several Int. Ch., but in the past years she more or less lost interest in Westie breeding due to the popularity of the breed. In 1981 she bought a Skye puppy bitch "Olivia Vamp" from Olga Smid, USA who eventually became a well known winner at European shows becoming easily an Int. Ch, Dutch, Austrian, German & Swiss Champion including the titles Winster Amsterdam, German Bundessieger, Austrian Bundessieger, FCI European Winner, VDH European Winner as well as World Winner 1986 and with many Group wins and placing to her credit. Oliva Vamp was the dam of the well known "TRIO" Multi Ch. Rannoch Skye Superstar owned by the Dahlbohms in Finland, World Winner 1990, Champion of Champion 1990 and Veteran of Veteran 1996, US Ch. Rannoch Skye Olivia owned by Olga Smid and her own multi Ch Rannoch Skye Champagne. Her last two Skyes were multi Ch Rannoch Skye Swiss Account, a daughter of Ch Rannoch Skye Champagne and a male, multi Ch. Olivia Instant W’Dream, a son of Rannoch Skye Olivia, Champion of Champion 1995 in Switzerland and a well known group winner and BIS Winner. In the past 15 years Elsbeth always had a Border Terrier in the house which she shows occasionally. She bred three litters with one Int. Ch, German & Swiss Ch. as well as an VDH European Winner. Due to her judging commitments she reduced breeding, but still has several Scotties, two Westies and one Border in the house.

COCHETTI, Mr. Francesco

Francesco was born in 1963 in Rome, Italy, into a "dog family". His father was a judge and he and his wife bred Poodles under the prefix "Della Perla Grigia" Francesco's affix "Di San Gimignano" was recognized by the Italian Kennel Club in the end of 80's. His first breed was Poodles. He then began to bred and show Chihuahuas in 1996 after marrying Finnish Chihuahua breeder Tuula Lehtinen-Cochetti (Misty Meadow’s Chihuahuas). Their joint venture has been very successful and they have created a world famous line together and have had numerous Champions and World Winners. 
He became a judge in year 1993, and is qualified to judge all FCI 9 Group (Toy and Companion dogs), all Group 4 (Dachshunds), some breeds from the Group 3 (Terriers) and some breeds from the Group 10 (Sighthounds) - see List. He is listed in Italian Kennel Club (ENCI) as a Specialist Judge in the breeds he has bred, Poodles and Chihuahuas. He also does Judges Training for these breeds. Francesco has judged in Italy, England, Finland, USA, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Belgium, France, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Luxembourg, Germany, Iceland, Republic Of San Marino, Russia, Slovenia, Estonia, Poland, Ireland, Serbia and Latvia He has had the honor of judging the Standard Poodles at the World Winner Show 2000 in Italy. He has judged several National Specialties and Specialties in different Toy breeds in Australia, Sweden, Japan, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Iceland, Israel, Germany, Serbia and Hungary. He has, at the moment, the reputation of a specialist judge for the Toy breeds. 
He is the current President of Rome Kennel Club. 

COCHRANE, Mrs. Mavis

Mavis gained her All Breeds licence in 1990, and has judged in all States of Australia at Group and Best in Show level. She has judged overseas in Singapore (judging there again in 2006), Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines (several times), South Africa, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, United States of America and New Zealand.
When judging in the USA Mavis was the Best In Show judge and had the honour of judging the top dog in the USA, a Kerry Blue Terrier: "Ch. TORUMS SCARF MICHAEL" and awarded him Best in Show, one more to add to the huge number of Best in Shows he has won.
Her breed is pugs and she's imported 9 Pugs into Perth, W.A. from England. She has had this breed for approximately 35 years, and although not a big breeder she has bred and made up many Champions. She has judged Pug speciality shows in various states of Australia, The Philippines and three times in the USA. Her family have been involved with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Dachshunds. Mavis lived in Singapore and Hong Kong for 25+ years and during her stay in Singapore she imported 3 Boxers from the UK and used to show these at the Singapore Kennel Club. Since coming to live in Perth she has also imported a Bullmastiff from England and showed her to her title.
Presently she holds the position of Secretary of The All Breeds Dog Club of W.A. after relinquishing the position of President and has been on the Committee for 18 years. She has also been involved with the W.A. Show Judges Training Committee as a Group Convenor for 10 years and currently assists with Practical Exams and Assessments of Trainee Judges.

In 2001 Donna was the Pedigree Conformation Judge of the Year and the Boston Terrier Breeder of the Year in Canada. Rodonna Kennel has been awarded Pedigree Breeder of the year three times and has bred and owned over 200 Canadian, American and Bermudan Champions. Owned the Canadian Top Dog, All Breeds, 1976 which was a Boxer that produced 101 Champions in 5 Countries. Donna is a retired nursing administrator. She has bred boxers from 1967 to 1997 and Boston Terriers since 1988. 
She obtained her Canadian Kennel Club All Breed Judge’s License in 1990. Currently, she is the President of Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of B.C (which hosts Canada’s largest dog show). Aside from that, she was the President of Boston Terrier Club of Canada from 1990 to 2000 and was re-elected on year 2002. She also held position as co-chairman of Judge’s Education Group and Lower Mainland Director of the Canadian Dog Judges Association. Mrs. Donna Cole is also an instructor for conformation handling classes with 22 years of experience under her belt.
There is no doubt that Donna has extensive experience in judging conformation shows. Over the years she was invited to judge at 26 countries.
She has also awarded C.C.’s to Boxers in England. She judged Bassett Hounds, Havanese, Labrador (males and the breed) at the 2002 World Show in Amsterdam, Holland. She has judged Boxers and a Group final at FCA International Dog Show and Samoyeds, Siberian Husky, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever at FCI Americas and Caribbean Dog show held with the 2005 World Show in Buenos Aires, Argentina – where she also judged breeds such as Old English Sheepdog, Jack Russell terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Welsh Terrier, English Springer Spaniel and Boston Terriers. 

COLE, Mr. Jon

Grew up in the world of Sporting, Working and Hound breeds. From University age on, and then with his wife had Bull Terriers and Bedlingtons. Later on they had Westies, Smooth Fox Terriers, Shih Tzus and finally Greyhound. He began judging Terriers in 1971. As time goes on and he is granted approval for other breeds he has curtailed his breeding and showing. Has judged in all parts of the states, as well as, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, Far East and Europe.  He eventually developed a primary interest in Bull Terriers and Bedlington Terriers, breeds in which he had great success in both “producing good-quality puppies and achieving many wins at shows in the U.S. and Canada.” At various times Mr. Cole has also owned or shown West Highland White Terriers, Shih Tzu, Smooth Fox Terriers, and Greyhounds.  Always in demand, Mr. Cole has judged on six continents since his career began in 1971. He has officiated at America’s most prestigious venues, including multiple Westminster assignments, and is a board member of the American Dog Show Judges. Mr. Cole has served in high office for several specialty and all-breed clubs, including president and founding member of the Kopper Valley Shih Tzu Club; president of the Group IV Terrier Association of Utah for fourteen years; and president, treasurer, board member, show chairman, and committee member, at various times, for the Dog Fanciers of Oregon, the Intermountain Kennel Club, the Bonneville Basin Kennel Association, and is the residing president of the Nashville Kennel Club.

COLLICUTT, Mr. Terry & Mrs. Ruth

Terry and Ruth became involved in Boxers in 1968 and since then have always had Boxers, and have also owned and shown British Bulldogs, Whippets, German Shepherds, Kerry Blue Terriers and lately, Papillons. They have also been involved in Obedience - training Boxers to CD and CDX level. Terry started judging in the mid 70's, and is now an All Breeds judge. Ruth licensed for Boxers in 1990 and is now also approved for British Bulldogs. Their interest has taken them to many countries around the world. They spent many years in Queensland where Terry was on the Judges Training Committee and President of the Queensland Kennel Association. On returning to Tasmania he became Chairman of the Judges Training Committee for a number of years. They currently own a fairly large boarding kennel in Hobart.

Glenda has been breeding Pembroke Welsh Corgis since 1956 under the "Westglen" prefix in Australia. She began judging in 1968 and was awarded All Breeds status in 1988. Since that time she has judged all over the world, officiating at Specialty and All Breeds shows. She has bred Pugs and Afghans, and currently owns a Mini Smooth Dachshund. Glenda has been actively involved in club and administrative work, show management, editor of several magazines, and has written many articles on dogdom for various publications. Glenda is currently Deputy Chair of the Judges Training and Examination Committee, President of the Welsh Corgi Club of Victoria, Editor of The Welsh Corgi in Australia handbook and on the Executive of the National Welsh Corgi Council. She lectures regularly on a variety of subjects of interest in the dog world and often gives seminars on the Pembroke Welsh Corgi whilst away judging.

COOPER, Mrs. N. P.

Mrs. Cooper has been connected with animals all her life. She has been working for the South of India Kennel Club since 1951 in various capacities.  Basically she is a Great Dane person. She has bred, exhibited Harlequin Great Danes. So great is her love for the Great Danes that she went all the way to England to train herself under a famous Great Dane Kennel there. She also owned and exhibited Miniature Bull Terriers. After the demise of Mr. Lawrence she took over his Labradors. She has worked on the Great Dane of India Club, the Working Dog and the Kennel Club of India Committee.  She has been judging since 1975 and has judged in most clubs in India and countries abroad. She is also an obedience judge who has been judging many obedience trials in India.

CORNELSSEN, Ms. Denise C.

Denise started showing in 1973 and has been judging since 1990. She has owned and bred Shetland Sheepdogs and exhibited Finnish Spitz. Breeder of over 80 Canadian, American and Japanese Champions, and multiple Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show and High in Trial Shelties. She also bred Canada's first bi-black BIS Sheltie. Won the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog National Specialty and several other large Specialties. Won the American Shetland Sheepdog National Specialty. 
Denise travelled with an all-breed professional Handler (CPHA) for approximately 5 years, and groomed and showed dogs in all Groups. 
Denise has judged most of the Shetland Sheepdog Specialties offered in Canada as well as several in the USA and Japan, the Canadian Rottweiler National Specialty, Regional Specialties for Siberian Huskies, smaller Specialties for breeds in most Groups, several large all-breed Shows in the USA, Canada, Australia and Korea. 
She has served in most positions with Specialty Clubs and all-breed Clubs over the past 35 years, and is a Charter and Life member of the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association; Member of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association; Life member of the Canadian Kennel Club and Member of the Northern Alberta Canine Association. 

COSTA MAIA, Mr. Fernando 

All Breeds

Born in Recife, State of Pernambuco, Brazil. Graduate of Business Administration. Qualified as an “All Round” judge by the Brazilian Kennel Club and F.C.I., and has been judging since 1970. Has bred Boxers, Miniature Pinschers, Pointers and German Shepherd Dogs and was one of the founders of the Society of German Shepherd Dogs of the State of Pernambuco in 1967. He also bred Brazilian Fila. Has owned a Labrador, Dachshund, Pug, Basset Hound, Whippet. Was a member and director of a number of Councils of Kennel Clubs in Brazil, and at the present moment is the vice president of the Judges Federal Council of the Brazilian Kennel Club.
Has participated in courses and in the examination and selection of new judges. He is qualified by the Boxer Club of Brazil as a specialist judge for the Boxer breed (1980). Has judged at several All Breeds Shows in all states of Brazil, including Specialised Club Shows. Has participated in the World Dog Show FCI, and several International Shows in South America, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Portugal, South Africa and Australia(Royal Melbourne Show 1991/1999).

Gladys is an International All Breeds judge approved Australian National Kennel Association & a retired Medical Practitioner. Judging appointments have taken her to New Zealand, the Philippines, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands & UK.
Since 1966 she & her husband have owned, bred & exhibited Miniature Dachshunds in all three coat varieties, with the wirehairs being their favourites. These dogs have achieved many in-show awards including BIS especially with Min Longs & Min Wires. Greyhounds were a minor breed in these kennels.
The parent stock in Mini Wires has come from UK & Sweden having imported ten animals in all. “Zwerg” & “Zwergdac” dachshunds are represented in many countries including USA, Portugal, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong , New Zealand & UK.
Gladys has been active in all aspects of the dog world – breeding, exhibiting, judging, dabbling in obedience, teaching as well as dog politics to the extent of President of the ACT Canine Association & the ACTCA’s representative on the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee to the ACT Government.

COXALL, Mrs. Clare

All Rounder

From breeding her first litter of Poodles in 1957, Clare has gone on to win Best in Show at Crufts in 1966 and 1985. She has judged over 45,000 dogs around the world, and has owned or bred 179 champions worldwide. Using her experience as a veterinary nurse, Clare has assisted the veterinary profession in various hereditary breeding problems. Clare's greatest achievement will be the honour of judging Best in Show at Crufts in 2008.

COZART, Mrs. Doris

Has been breeding and exhibiting Standard and and Toy Poodles since 1967, during which time she championed more than twenty-five Standard Poodles. With her Toy Poodles she has bred and championed in excess of twenty champions. Doris has won many groups, Best In Shows and Specialty Best In Shows. She has also bred Maltese. She handled professionally for many years. She has judged in Australia, Italy, Philippines, Canada and Indonesia and most states in America. Doris began in the sport of dogs while living in England during her husband Gene's Air Force career. The Cozarts showed their first show Poodle at Crufts in 1969.
Upon their return to the States, the Cozarts began the Cotian line, responsible for several top-producing black Toy Poodles (including the dominant sire Ch. Cotian Country Style) and approximately 30 champions. Among the many highlights along the way, Mrs. Cozart says, "Seeing my daughter, Debbie, show a homebred Toy Poodle to an all-breed Best in Show was one of the most special moments."
Mrs .Cozart has been an AKC judge since 1990, approved for the Toy, Non-Sporting, and Working groups, Juniors, and Best in Show. She is a four-time judge of the Poodle Club of America national specialty and has judged at Westminster and prestigious venues abroad.
Mrs. Cozart is president of the Poodle Club of America, and has served the club as a director, judges' education chair, and show committee member. She has served as director for the Poodle Club of Massachusetts, Quinnipiac Poodle Club, and Texas Kennel Club, and has written articles and conducted seminars on breeding and judging.
The Cozarts have been married for fifty years and have two grown children. Debbie continues the Cotian prefix with her Standard Poodles. 

CROAD, Mr. Eddie

Started in the Dog World while living in NZ straight after the 2nd World War with Pointers, then changed to Cocker Spaniels and still retains an interest in that breed. He has bred Poodles, exhibited Labradors, Standard Smooth Dachshund, and Griffon Bruxellois. 
Eddie began judging in 1956 and has worked through the groups until obtaining his All Breeds licence in 1969. He judged his first show in Aust in 1970 and since then has judged in every state, inc Hobart, Adelaide, Brisbane and Toowoomba Royals. He has judged many times in the US and Canada and has also judged in Sweden, Denmark, Argentina, Chile, Thailand and Manilla. He is a Life Member of the NZKC, past President and Life Member of the Kumeu Kennel Assoc, Life Member of the Auckland Spaniel Club and past member of the NZKCs Executive Council. In 1997 he moved to Queensland and very much enjoys the relaxed lifestyle and is still very enthusiastic about his dog judging and breeding and showing Griffons. 

CROAD, Mrs. Jocelyn

Has been in the Dog World since early 1960s, breeding and showing Pekingese and Griffon Bruxellois. She later followed with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, campaigning the first whole colour to its NZ Championship and this ruby was the first whole colour to win an All Breeds show in the Southern hemisphere. She has also owned Dobermans which were shown with great success. 
She is the past Secretary and Life Member of the Kumeu Kennel Assoc, Life Member of the Auckland Pekingese and Tiki CKCS Club and has served as an examiner of the judges for the NZKC and the CCCQ. She began judging in the early 70s and obtained her AB licence in 1984. She has judged throughout New Zealand and Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Manilla, Canada, Argentina and Indonesia. In 1997 Jocelyn and her husband moved to Queensland and very much enjoy the relaxed lifestyle and are very enthusiastic about their dog judging and breeding and showing Griffon Bruxellois.

CRONANDER, Mr. Ake

Ake is licensed as an FCI Group judge. He was first licensed as a judge for Dalmatian, Whippet and some other sighthound breeds in 1995, and since then has extended with more breeds, and groups. His most famous dog is the Whippet "Int. Nord/Fin/Port/Aust Ch SV-91-92 EUW-94 Airescot Waistcoat". He has judged in Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Slovenia and Sweden. 

CRONCHEY, Mr. Keith

Keith started showing a Dobermann (which they bought as a guard dog) in 1966 and his young daughter showed a Shetland Sheepdog at the same time. In 1972 they added Great Danes in partnership and with which they continued until 1985.  In that year they went into partnership and established the “Brigadoon” Bearded Collie kennels. Having served an apprenticeship as a Steward for several years, Keith started judging in 1972 and gained his first Championship Show Licence in 1974. Due to work commitments it was not until 1991 that he was able to gain the final Group to make him “All Breeds”.
He has been fortunate to have judged many times in both Islands of New Zealand and in all States and Territories of Australia. It has been particularly rewarding for him to have been invited back to judge for several affiliates. 
In late 2004 he had his first truly international appointments when he judged in Johannesburg and Cape Town on consecutive weekends. 
Keith and his wife Jill are contracted to judge the Golden Jubilee Open Show of the Bearded Collie Club (England) in July 2005; she to judge the Dogs and Keith to judge the Bitches, this is a signal honour for both of them. They will then be travelling on to Finland to judge at the Espoo Show in early August. A further appointment to judge in Finland in 2006 has been proposed.
When Keith judges he tries to take into account the characteristics and requirements of the breed Standards rather than being influenced by “Prettiest on the Stack and Fastest around the Ring”. When judging he is continually asking exhibitors to “Slow Down” when they are gaiting their exhibits – perhaps this is because when he is exhibiting he cannot keep up with them?. 

CRONCHEY, Mrs. Mary Gillian (Jill)

Jill has been a dog lover all of her life. Her Mother owned and bred Miniature Poodles and had a show dog which a friend showed for her. Her Father bred Cocker Spaniels. Her first show dog was a Dobermann. Her young daughter had a Shetland Sheepdog to show at this time. Later they went into partnership with friends in a Great Dane kennel. 
In 1982 she judged a Bearded Collie Open Show and fell in love with the breed. In 1985, together with her husband and a friend they established the “Brigadoon” Bearded Collie kennel. In 1991 she was privileged to judge the Bearded Collie Club of South Australia Championship Show.
In 1995 they imported a brown/white dog from England and three of his progeny are their current Show dogs. She has judged in all States of Australia and the Australian Capital Territory, She has also judged several times in both Islands of New Zealand. She has been honoured to have been invited to judge again for several affiliated Clubs.
In 2002 she judged at an Open Show in England and at a Championship Show in Finland. Jill and her husband Keith will be judging in England at the Bearded Collie Club’s Golden Jubilee Open Show in July 2005 and afterwards, in early August, they will be travelling on to judge In Helsinki, Finland. When judging she tries to keep in mind the required function of the breed, its characteristics and its typical breed movement.

CROSS, Miss Errolynne

Group 1 licence only. Errolynne was raised with Miniature Pinschers, with a strong association with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Pomeranians. Her parents, Phillip and Elaine Cross are both judges (see below). Errolynne will continue on breeding on under the "Minelphi" prefix.

Elaine & Phillip started showing Basset Hounds in 1958, and early in 1960 they saw a Miniature Pinscher and fell in love!! They also had Whippets for many years and showed and bred them very successfully. They had some of the top winning Miniature Pinschers through 1960 - 1977 when they went to Papua New Guinea to work. The then Papua New Guinea Kennel Club, took on the Victoria system for judges training and over the years they both obtained their All Breeds status, however when they returned to Australia in 1989, the powers that be decided they would have to start all over again, resulting in the fact that they are now qualified to judge only the Groups 1, 6 and 7.
They have concentrated on their Miniature Pinschers, but have shown Pomeranians extensively, mostly for other people! Both have judged throughout Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and of course New South Wales. They have also  judged in the Philippines and in NZ.

CRUSE, Mr Graham

Graham has been involved with dogs all his life, his parents owned Border Collies and German Shephards. Graham bought his first Rottweiler in 1985 when he was 14 and started to show her a year later.  He has owned Schipperkes since 1993 and is now currently campaigning Cairn Terriers, Pointers and Schipperkes in Australia with his partner. His prefix is Monterrez and he has made up 6 UK Champions, 1 Irish Champion and 5 Australian Champions. 
Graham has been judging since 1992 & currently awards UK CC's, and has judged extensively in all four Countries in the UK, Malta, and in Australia where he is qualified to judge Akita, Rottweiler, Shiba Inu, German Spitz (Mittel), & Schipperke.

CURTIS, Mr. R . L., OAM JP AIMM

Bob Curtis has been involved in the purebred dog world for most of his life. At an early age he owned, bred and exhibited Smooth Fox Terriers, English Cocker Spaniels and Standard Smooth Dachshunds. He achieved his All Breeds judging licence in 1976, and since that time Bob has enjoyed assignments in North and South America, Scandinavia, UK, Europe, South East Asia, South Africa, India, Japan and China. Bob's lifetime dedication and contribution to the purebred dog world in Australia - and internationally - was recognised in 2002 when Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth 11 awarded him an Order of Australia Medal (OAM).

A Bull Terrier specialist in her own right but with a great interest in many other breeds. Di has judged extensively throughout Australia and in many countries in Asia. Established in 1968, and located in South Australia, Maolmhin Kennel breeds for type, quality & temperament. Maolmhin is home of multiple Champions, Grand Champions, Grand Champion ROMs, ROMs, Bi-Ennial Trophy & National winners and is based on a combination of top Australian, European, & English bloodlines.

CUTLER, Mrs Patricia

Patricia commenced showing Maltese approximately 20 years ago. After only a short time showing, she and husband Peter were approached by Mistyhaven Kennels and asked to campaign a male for them. This dog was Mistyhaven Wata Boutme who went on to become one of the breed’s all time top winning dogs with over 30 Best In Shows to his credit. Peter and Patricia have bred over 14 Champions, under the prefex of Merimalt, many of which were Multi Best In Show winners. For the past ten years they have successfully campaigned Maltese for Ms. Patricia Nicholson, Patrician Maltese of New Zealand. Their most successful Maltese was Patrician Phantom who won Best In Show at the prestigious Sydney Royal Easter Dog Show. They have also handled many other breeds including Pekingese for Frawai Kennels, Italian Greyhounds for Eltazzi Kennels and Shih Tzu for Waitara Kennels. They have presented a handling workshop at the American Maltese Kennel Club National Specialty and have been contracted to handle at National Specialties in America. Patricia has assisted the Toy Group Coordinator of the Judges Training Scheme on Practical and Lecture days for the past 10 years. They currently own and operate Petcetera Etc a show equipment business.
